The Pains of Making Visuals <_<
Someone HAS thought of that before, in fact-- I made one a long time ago. I just recently ported it to VXA for my own use, but mine goes into the message box.
Anyway, great post, I'm glad it was made easier for ya! Also, that's cool-- VXA has a script for variables option? That will be super useful!

Step 4: Go through every single event where the old version of an item was used and change it to its new location in the database.
That's why when I start a project I have a common event for this sort of thing (not trying to sound condescending!). Pick a variable, set that variable to the id of the item you want to use and call the common event which would be filled with fork conditions and different item receiving events, each fork will give the item based on an item you select (don't use the variable to pick the item)-- do it manually so you can change it later if necessary. The only downside is that you can only have one item at a time, because I'm assuming you'll want a message to display the name of the item.
Unless of course you get fancy and use the variable to represent "treasure ids" where you pick a group of items to be given, but then you would have to repeat yourself many times.
Either way they would, at the very least, all be centralized! Besides you never know when you might have to change it all again. Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear that! It sounds like a very sad story, indeed. I'll fix that for you by tonight, I'll go and retest the new game+ mode to try to see what's causing the problems.
Although, it would help me if you could post your save file somewhere (in your locker on this site, or megaupload ) so that I can figure out the issue faster! In that case, it would be done in a like 2-3 hours.

Drop me some comments in the blog if you have suggestions in relation to what you would have liked to see from the demo. Being that you've played the demo thoroughly, I trust your opinion.
Also, I noticed you had some problem with the New Game + mode? If you really want I can try to fix that, and update the demo (just to give you something to do while I work on the game). Although, make sure that you have latest version first, because I could have sworn I fixed that problem during beta testing.

Streamline Battle

If I'm not mistaken, one of the advantages of 20XX was a common event at battle start and battle finish. In theory, you could make your own custom victory settings with the battle finish event.
EDIT: ... Or maybe I imagined that after working in Melody for so long. I know for sure Wolf mentioned global battle events.
Oh, I must have missed that. It would definitely be pretty cool.

Speaking of battle rewards...it would be really cool to add 1 or 2 (or 3) different types of battle result window choices. Like perhaps adding the option to have it like the default (just a boring textbox). Then also allowing one that is a giant text box in the middle of the screen that has different pages which display different things (exp, skills learned, items found). And the third option to allow a player to call a common event (so they could make their own result window!).
I think that would be epic, and it really wouldn't require too much programming.

This error occurs after King Kaio explained to me that I need to catch bubbles before the training really begins.
Right after he finishes talking I get this:

The graphics are going to be updated, might still use LSW sprites though. I am making my own card graphics, still working on them. Once I finish the graphics I will be changing the HUD.
