Trick & Treat

Well, I started this while forgetting I had other games to finish, so here's my notes up to my first save point! ... Are you taking more feedback? Or do you not, 'cause you're working on the other now? Which is totally fine! 'Cause then I'll just respond with script errors and other things that are a bit more important to learn from than typos.

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass

EDIT: There doesn't seem to be much there other than some extra enemies and
eye symbols. It feels like it might get expanded later, but it also reminds me of one of the blog post gifs... curiouser and curiouser, haha.

Wait... So you can leave the tunnels before fighting the boss?

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass

Is being able to hit a Dodgy Rad Ghost with the statuses of Toxic Sludge and Sticky Phlegm supposed to happen?

Or was that one of the bugs that was fixed? ... Is it still happening?

Born Under the Rain

This now has a TvTropes Page:

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VideoGame/BornUndertheRain

And now I'm sure that the title doesn't appear in this game's summary. Which is interesting.

How is miss chance calculated?

Rambling of reason for asking:

In other news, now I'm wondering when it'd be the smart choice to Grift the Weird Bone from Skitterbones instead of just trying to bash it to pieces, usually with Buck.

So, presuming that it would take two turns to bash it to pieces, the Grift chance of failure over those two turns must be less than the chance to miss... And that's not taking into account Buck being Brash and taking the SB out in one turn...

So assuming 100% hitrate, 25% chance to OHK, 75% chance to need two turns to kill...

Thanks so much for that save file, malandy! I was able to find and fix that problem because of it.

What was wrong?

Try stealing from one of the trio of dastardly characters near the end of the demo for hilarious (in my opinion) result XD
Dang, I missed some cool grifting action. What happens?

I reveal it in my notes, but here's who it is, and what happens, if you don't want to play / guess / look / search.

It's Johnny Knives.
And:
Johnny Knives loses his knives and becomes Johnny No Knives.

Edit: Saving won't reset the pedometer. I'll look into the imagination menu thing, though.

How's that going? 'Cause I just fought a Cumulus and a Puff, and then, upon hitting the menu button, I fight another Cumulus and Puff.

I saved immediately after escaping from that battle.

***

And now fought a Mortimer and Mack, took, 3 steps, find myself against a Skitter and Mortimer, and there's no Exclamation Mark, just straight into battle. On all three times.

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass Review

author=Liberty
They don't know it's there to miss so how have I turned them off the game? Fucking hell.

No...? I mean, like, if they only play games that aren't totally linear, then you've turned them off by not talking about the bonus areas, and you've made it seem like the plot is a linear NoSidepaths, NoExploration, NoFreedom? ... That's a bit extreme though.

Oh, so if you miss taking the item (which is, what? 70% you said) that's faster than full strength for two turns? I think not.

Wait. What???

If you're going to have stealing, at least make it worth taking the chance for. 15% for an item is kinda like... why bother?
Weird Bones and Macks have chances of like, > 70% - 80% when you meet them. It's only the furniture that has such low chances.

Uhh... How is this saying that > 70% - 80% is the chance to fail at Grifting for Macks and Weird Bones???
