FINAL FANTASY X|X-2 HD REMASTER AUDIO DRAMA is the shittiest thing in the FF series EVER! Seriously, so much negating the previous titles? FFXVI is not coming AT ALL.

Are you sure you don't mean FF Versus 13? Er, I mean FF 15?

when i first came here however long ago i actually believed that pressing 2 in the user feedback forum would change the text to "|337" speak, needless to say i was very disappointed

Well, there is the option to have responses that rhyme.
Not that such a thing would save time.
Yet, we do enjoy flexing our writing muscle!
Though, we hope we do not cause a tussle.

Hello!

Working on smaller games is a totally viable option, and I approve of it. Not that such an action requires approval (submitting a gamepage on RMN would), but, there you go.

Salutations!

I recall back in maybe 8th grade having ideas to write a book about a band of ten or so adventurers and their trials and tribulations to acquire artifacts. I never got particularly far with it, but I have sensed some personality traits of Serena (a cleric-type person) in the character of Masako. As to who that is, well, that's another story!

Wait. What's this about games not being complete? Perhaps I am misinterpreting what is being posted, but allow me to drop this friendly reminder:

Only completed games are allowed

Merry Christmas you Wonderful People!

Merry Christmas everyone, De Geso~

Hey, I thought that was specifically for the "what are you thinking now" thread?

I'll forgive you. THIS time.

Anyway, more on-topic, wait, I think it's high-time to do this again...

MERRY CHRISTMAS, RMN!

*Edit: Even if it's the day after Chirstmas where I'm at...

The Reviews are Looking Pretty Frightful Lately...

People are allowed to enjoy horror games, bennyguy. It's a thing!

RMN Secret Santa 2013~ [Speculation Central!]

I thought I had a vague guess, but I double-checked the Santa list. Nope!

*Edit: Also, the posting/writing style is totally different.

*Edit2: It still stings to read that it was not worth my time setting up a gamepage for Hall of Lost Souls, but should have done a thread instead. It might have been the better move on my part, but, uh, yeaaaah.

I interpret that to mean this: What you put in your readme/manual file is ultimately up to you. Minimally, outline what buttons do what, give credit to resources you used that are not yours, and note any external dependencies (such as: if an RTP is required, specify which one, and where to get it).

Taking a closer look at the relevant rules...

  • All art, music, and sound should be original, public domain or purchased by yourself. When you made it is not important so long as you have proper rights to it. Entrants may stray from this rule if they wish, but should expect harsher judgments towards ripped content than original.

  • Your game must run on the Windows platform. Your game should not require any additional components that a judge would have to purchase or download.

  • Games should come with a readme.txt file of some sort, describing how to play the game, listing any resources used that are not yours, and describing what components the game needs to run.

...I retain my opinion about manuals/readme files, with the proviso that games with an on-line multiplayer component would include an outline of how/where to connect. It would fall under "how to play the game" and, possibly, "describing what components the game needs to run".

However, I must revise my opinion about external dependencies. Submissions should have the base graphics/music/whatever that they need to run. That is not to say that you cannot have "DLC" that includes additional resources/quests/whatever. If you go that route, getting the DLC should be OPTIONAL and not REQUIRED.

RMN Secret Santa 2013~ [Speculation Central!]

Hrm. I have to re-consider the background behind the creation of Hall of Lost Souls. I recall a certain kind of developer's drought (I didn't want to work on Konae's Investigations, but I wanted to do something). Which brought certain unfinished ideas to surface. This ultimately lead to Hall of Lost Souls.

Though, I must concede that relaying a sense of what these games are supposed to incorporate in the format that is Hall of Lost Souls might not have been the right way to do it.

*Edit: I have no idea who could have authored this review.
