What's an easy way to hide parts of your map?
Thank you everyone for your suggestions so far. Guess I will have to experiment and see which method works best for what I need.
What's an easy way to hide parts of your map?
Engine: Rm2k3
What I mean is I want to make rooms impossible to see until you open the door to the room. The only method I can think of is using solid black pictures to hide rooms, but then I have to make a picture for every room. Another method would be placing events to hide the rooms, but then I have to change the events that are in the room.
Anyone know a better way then what I mentioned?

woah, magi-nation vibe.
The portrait/ monster art and dark theme is similar to that of magi nations'.
Dungeon/Scenario Design
I like when games have switches, keys and puzzles that make you trek through out the dungeon instead of just going through point A to B. If your going to use keys and locked doors make sure it's impossible for the player to get locked out of the game by accidentally opening the wrong door.

anyone have gamemaker sprites/backrounds? i'll credit you!
I suggest finding objects from spriter's resource and making your own sprite sheets and backgrounds. Not a lot of people here use game maker.
