Is it illegal to use VX if...
I have recently started using VX again. When I downloaded it, I only had a 30 day trial before I had to purchase it. I didn't remember having to buy it, so I went and got the VX on my external drive. This version doesn't have a trial and doesn't have that annoying box pop up when you open it, but I have never paid for any rpg maker product. Since you have to pay for VX, does that mean it's illegal to use if you didn't pay for it? I think the version I downloaded was probably old though and that's why you had to eventually buy it. I probably had a newer version on my external drive and that's why it didn't have that annoying message asking me to buy it or continue my trial.
Edit: If this topic isn't allowed then please lock it. I already got my question answered by NewBlack. I just wanted to know if you had to purchase this software because I have heard of many people not paying for this product, so I thought it was free.

Do you need game sprites?
I just finished ripping the sound effects from (SNES)Breath of Fire II. I will be uploading them to sprite database some time later in the month.
Is grinding a flaw in rpgs?
I didn't know who Barbatos was until I looked him up. I think if you can auto grind in a game that kind of defeats the purpose of having a battle system. Not to mention that if all you have to do is put auto on your characters to kill enemies that's usually a sign of a poor battle system, unless auto always picks the best options for the character to use, but than that defeats the purpose of a battle system.
RPG 20XX Engine
It's kind of hard pulling off this counter-every-point attitude if you create these really obvious contradictions. If you're not able to explain yourself clearly, double the effort you spend writing your post to make it clearer.I stated what I wanted to know here.

I'm not asking what engine to use to make games. I'm asking his opinion on which engine doesn't suck. Just curious what his standards are for a good engine.
Oh and sorry I wasn't sure of your gender.

What is the dark blue ground meant to be? Or is that to indicate that its dark out? Other than the blue ground I think it looks awesome.

This is kind of the wrong place to be asking that..

Is grinding a flaw in rpgs?
I've often thought grinding was always part of rpgs, but is that true? I mean sure you need to level up in rpgs to be able to take on bosses. Terranigma is one example of a must grind to beat the game. Then you have Mario&Luigi games where you don't even need to kill any enemies, except bosses, to beat the game. Then you have games where you only need to fight all the monsters in each area once and you will be able to beat the game. So do you think grinding is a flaw in rpgs or does it depend on the rpg?
