FPS Control Scheme
If there is no secondary fire, I would put RMB as Zoom and leave R for reload, like Half-Life. Then put LSHIFT as Crouch (crouch-jump, again HL). In Quake 2 I use RMB for Cycle weapons and Q and E changes the FOV (zoom) in single player. There's no option for mouse wheel in the controls menu so I never set it :p. In Quake 3 however, clicking the wheel (Mouse3) whips out the Gauntlet for Humiliations :).

Miaka's Great Adventure Review
Shouldn't Have Used that Megalixer, You Were Going to Lose Either Way!
Ahh good ol' DBZ...I never knew why they didn't just shoot anyone or finger-jab their eyeballs. ???
The battles where you have the freedom to use your special items are ok for me as long as the next battle is such that you wouldn't need them anyhow. Like a spring that heals you or gives you a bonus ability, or a new ally that comes out from the shadows to help you defeat the final boss. Maybe have the tough parts of the boss in the first battle, which you destroyed, and then the lesser weakling after.
At the end of Wolfenstein 3D
you fought Hitler in a robotic suit, and then just plain Hitler with a dinky pistol.
And at the end of Quake 2

the Makron was riding a Jorg but then it was just him and he fell over alot.

author=Tau link=topic=2553.msg47155#msg47155 date=1227676895What are you talking about?? I love that scene! I can tell exactly what everything is in that picture. And I like the contrast between the building and the grass and water. (although the water animation could maybe be modified a little) Could you please send me the chipset since it has apparently been switched?
My entry! Also this is one of the worst tiles ever conceived.

:The Game Making Drive/Blog Topic
Villages, Towns, and Cities.
Sewer dungeons are drab, uninteresting locations that involve fighting rats and bats and other boring critters with bad/no music that take too long to finish and are almost always just filler dungeons.

The only hypothetical question that matters...for game developers who are also grownups.
If said developer would supply me with room and board for minimum 3 months I'd go for it. Anything bad and it'd be simply a paid vacation!
