OnLive - The future of online gaming?
Well, the video you posted was a pretty big turn off, and I wasn't really turned on to the idea in the first place. The common theme was "laggy but playable." This might be cool in the future, but I don't really see streaming video games happening perfectly. The ability to stream gameplay would have to improve dramatically to be on par with physical hardware, which uh, probably won't happen. I think it would actually have more success if it streamed the entire PS2 library or even SNES. Older games will always be enjoyable, despite the advances new games make constantly.
EDIT: Wait, didn't that already happen with the older games? I vaguely remember that awhile back. I guess since I can't remember the name of the company, that speaks for the success of streaming older games. Maybe I'm just crazy. *goes back to emulating games* ... *Just realized why that company failed*

What are you thinking about right now?
Multitasking on the computer
I mean, how many things do you do at once?
Roughly 4-5 things on good days. Internet, games, music, making something, tv show going on left side of the screen, browser on the right, etc. On slow days it'll be a combination of music/games, or music/internet.
How many windows do you open, and how many tabs on your browser?
I usually average around 3-4 windows, and around 10 tabs on my browser.
How frequently do you switch between tasks?
Anywhere between 5 minutes to an hour. So somewhat frequent but not spazzing out. Thanks to massive amount of ram and processing power, I can run high end games in the background and still feel no difference. Instant Alt-Tabbing is so sweet. Never gets old.
Are there any websites you refresh often?
RMN and Facebook, sometimes Stumble. However, I recently deactivated my facebook account and I legitimately feel amazing. I used to feel a complete lack of time and now that I took facebook out the equation, I feel more connected to my surroundings and my stress has actually decreased a lot. I always knew I hated facebook, but then finally thought "hey, why don't you leave if you hate it so much?" so I did. Everyone do it.
Does the excessive multitasking prevent you from focusing on what you need to do?
Not really. I'm fairly good at switching between things. Think of it as cooking with all the burners on the stove. You're still accomplishing all at once, but you're switching between them.
Do you get the feeling of wasted time?
See: previous mini-facebook rant. Other than that... not really. Even if I didn't really do anything productive, sometimes just relaxing and not really doing anything is a good way to spend time.
Do you try to control yourself?
Only the deactivation of facebook really. The rest I'm pretty good with.
Do you feel any difficulty in keeping attention to a single thing (like writing a school paper) for prolonged periods? Not from too much going on. Only time I have legitimate trouble is when I am going on hilariously low amounts of sleep. So I usually go sleep for a few hours, then come back and crank out the paper.
tl;dr facebook is a useless timesink and full of negativity, people should get off

The Geico gecko was pretty okay.
Ehh, now he sucks. Before he became all sophisticated/british/australian/whateverthefuckhisaccent is, he was far more entertaining.

I know I like to troll on Craze for liking Elder Scrolls so much, but I might actually try this. Maybe. We'll see how I feel later.
Time to level up my health!
I'll be moving into a house in March with a couple of friends, and we're buying a weight set. I can go back to lifting :) I vote we start another progress topic like we had a long time ago. Although, I won't be participating in it much until then.
