GoldenGuard will become GoldenGuard:GO!

Just for the record, are you going to add strafing? It'd greatly improve the combat feeling.

Ten steps backwards

*looks at the blog title* ...I see what you did there.

But yeah, while one can argue about toning down scripts, dropping the final graphics from the development version can be helpful. Especially with your level of detail.

More Flashlight and Stuff

...stop being so awesome. Do you even know how hard it is to get all the drool out of the keyboard again? D:

Seriously, I f-ing love stuff like this.

New Feature: Flashlight

Theehee, yeah, I meant battery lifetime.

So there's going to be flashlight/no flashlight routes in the game. And if you have batteries, you might get a part that requires the flashlight, and if you don't, you don't. Right?

New Feature: Flashlight

The blog mentioned batteries, so I think the energy is limited. That makes a lot of sense, since otherwise you'd just keep it running all the time. On the other hand, this means that the flashlight can't play a role in mandatory parts of the game and/or cutscenes.

.....or will there be different cutscenes based on the state of the flashlight? Also, will there be some sort of lifetime display somewhere?

New Feature: Flashlight

Finally a flashlight that's more than just a cheap overlay. \o/

Good job. Also, I still love the chair carrying.

First facts about the battle-system

Waitwaitwait. Now I realize something: You never said anything about how pseudo-magic is used in your game.

What does a stone of one element do? Does it give you skills, boost your attributes... it looks like this will be an essential part of the game, so could you elaborate this (or dunk my head into the place where it's elaborated)?

First facts about the battle-system

I already heard this and that factoid about it, but having the system summed up here is really, really... well, awesome.

The system, especially the way speed is determined, sounds different from most things out there.

I just hope you don't overdo yourself with this, because it would be really cool to play this.

More Menu Modifications

Oh, and you can definitely prepare for some super fancy save/load slot redesigns. Yes, I'm running wild with all these reverse engineering shenanigans going on.

The New Fancy (Non-)Standard Menu

Eh, credit for the technical stuff goes to Cherry. I was mostly throwing around design ideas.

Item menu, shop and other related things are still a work in progress, too.
