I'm so used to seeing the CTB done horizontally, I forgot FFX did it your way. But I think that instead of text indicating whose turn it is, it should be indicated with the persons faceset or battler icon (easier on the eyes). The cursors indicating the enemy turn is also kind of redundant.

Everything else looks pretty cool!

Why aren't there more tutorials on the basics?

Those are too complex for a beginner. I know it seems easy to you and me, but those articles probably aren't a good place to go for an RMVX beginner.

I mean, I took a programming class a few semesters ago and the last thing I wanted to do was check wikipedia. It never helped me!

I know I have read this many times already, but I really enjoy the greediness piece you pointed out. It's very tough throwing away segments or characters that you built up, but sometimes things just don't work out. It goes for gameplay, or any aspect of your game as well. I've only learned to change this with patience (and not being ignorant).

And yes to the action with dialogue. =)

Way to troll. Honestly, I see nothing wrong with trying to promote your own game, especially in a thread where someone is asking about people's games. I agree in that you should play whatever looks interesting though.

I see nothing wrong with trying to promote your game either. But first off, he is looking for games to play, which means the game has an actual release. I could go on about how dumb this is getting, so let us drop it. ;)

Idk man, it really breaks up the authentic DQ feel where EVERTHING is a goddamn pun. I like it when the names are just really serious sounding and authentic. It's not like the original japanese version had puns. Just some jerk decided he was going to have dumb puns in the english version.

I can deal with this, but I can't deal with how slow this game is.

Everything is so slow.
