COMMUNITY DISCUSSION: So let's take more pride in ourselves.
I don't know what we're supposed to talk about here. Respect and pride? I can't understand the topic, but here I go.
The best thing to do now is to make better games that don't use the same rehashed resources over and over again and publicize them more. Prove to the others who say it is not fun by making a good game.
There should be no "play my game and I'll play yours". That makes no sense (and I notice most of you do it, why is this). You should be playing good games and not feel like it's a chore to play somebody else's. I do not play any game that does not look interesting to me. That's not because I am selfish or don't take into account the amount of effort it took to make the game, it's just the game doesn't interest me or it simply just doesn't look good in my eyes. I can generally tell when a game looks good so I know when to play something and when not to. Though I realize that if everybody was like me, most games here would go unnoticed.
I don't know what else to say about the contributing thing. Make better games that are fun and stop grabbing your resources from the same pool that every other RM user grabs from. Make your game stand out and be different. It gets publicity to the maker as well as this community. That's all you can do.
I also think Anaryu is right. The community is too small, and the people that are present, at the core, just make games. There is nothing wrong with this group of individuals, but most game making communities have somewhat of a balance between makers and players.

Most of the news I've heard of Obama lately was retarded stuff about moving, decorating and how his kids will enjoy living in the White House.
How vapid is that?
President edition.
What games did you grow up on?
Shining Force. I was a huge Shining Force fan kid, so I bought every game with SHINING in it (Shining in the Darkness). Unfortunately I never got to play the second Shining Force until I emulated it years later.
Other than that, the classics of course. Breath of Fire, Inindo, Warsong (Langrisser), the awesome X-Men games, Secret of Evermore, and Lufia just to name a few.

Hey Cherry, I'm sure you've seen the German game Alone - Cold Winter. In one of the creators youtube videos, the game has a load/save feature that is completely different from the default RM one (it is done completely with pictures). He said he had someone create and/or modify it to do this, but it reminds me of the one you did with the RM2K save/load modification. I can link you to the video if you want to see it. I'm just wondering if you could do something like that with your current version, or if any modifications would be needed.
I like to think of these add-ons/patches as a mod for a commercial game like Oblivion and Fallout 3. They don't necessarily make things any better, but it helps the creator by getting rid of some of the tedious issues with the program. The only thing I dislike is the compatibility issues and how some of the modifications only work with certain versions of the program (and they are sometimes buggy).

There's this glitch in RM2K3 that I just can't figure out
Oh okay, I did not see the bolded part for some reason.
RM2K3 has a problem where if you go into the sub menu of any section during battle (skills, items, etc), and then cancel out of it to do another command like Attack, it has the possibility is messing up. I'm not sure how to duplicate that bug, though.

I am not sure what to think of this topic.
And you are crazy nightblade, I should not be on your list because I have never released anything. And my game doesn't exist!
But I would have DE for graphics.

In this topic I briefly comment on every video game I've ever played.
For a 1995 title, Chrono Trigger had decent characters for its time. Nothing compared to FF6, though.

That is incredible, Badluck. I can see what the others are saying, but I wouldn't worry about it. There are more important things to work on than the minor issues of a screenshot.
I would love to see something other than outdoor environments. Perhaps a tower or palace, or a place that has a gloomy vibe to it. Something different than what we've normally seen, but still has a place in the atmosphere of your game. I hope your artists get around to something like that. Take your time though, there is no rush.
