Forever's End

EDIT: Oh, but make sure you hold on to your save file from Episode One, as they will be compatible with the next release. ^ ^

I'm seriously considering replaying the whole thing... I still have my old saves (I think..), but I think a refresher would be nice. Plus, it's only 10-20 hours of goodness that I wouldn't mind revisiting!

Turning every dungeon into a challenge

author=UPRC
If I go forward with this, the challenges would be available at any time after finishing a dungeon (unless you can't go back, ala Floating Continent from FF6).

Then I approve! I get frustrated when there are one-time challenges, and I waste hours reloading until I win... seriously, I'm that stubborn about completeness at times.

I approve. Good luck with the others (if you are doing the same with the minimap and all)!

Faith, religion, and you

Isn't it usually the other way around? People start out not believing, then start taking drugs and then they find Jesus? And then they talk about it to third graders.
I guess so, but after reading Bonehead's post it kind of sounded like the assumption is that the reason why people don't believe in a god is because the religion/some representative of it wronged you in some way or let you down.

I do like hearing stories about people developing a personal conviction and finding inner strength! (But I admit it bothers me to hear them attribute that strength of will, character and integrity to some god, rather than their own considerable human faculties)

I think it can go either way. I never had a TERRIBLE experience, but I think a lot of what effected my current beliefs came from the religious community rather than an atheist. Maybe it's due to the relative boisterousness of the religious? Who knows, but I don't think one is more likely than the other.

He has the same problem I have.
Unless you shave no more than 15 minutes before, you're going to have dark face.

Solution: grow a gnarly beard!

I really hate, hate, hate gambling minigames. I cannot describe the depth of my hatred.

At some point I'm sure I had a logical justification for why I hate them. Something about save points, I think it was. Irrelevant now. At this point I no longer need a reason; any justification is overshadowed by my dark obsession. I no longer need logic, coherence, or anything even remotely approaching civility. I feel nothing but impartial, mindless rage. You cannot justify this card game to me; it will be your downfall regardless. My quest for vengeance against those who insert this filth into their games is boundless and insatiable. My soul broils at the thought.

If I encounter one more virtual casino in an RPG, if I load your game and reach this NPC, I will kill myself. Then when my tainted spirit reaches its fiery destination in the afterlife, I will topple the master of that dark place and take it over as my own domain. From my black throne, I will lash together a machine of blood and bone, and fueled by my hatred for your awful minigame this fear engine will bore a hole between this world and that one. When the tear begins to open, you will hear the sound of children screaming - as though from a great distance. A smoking orb of nothing will grow above your bed, and from it will emerge a thousand starving crows. As I slip through the widening maw in my new form, you will catch only a glimpse of my radiance before you are incinerated. Then, as tears of bubbling pitch stream down my face, my dark work will begin. I will open one of my six mouths, and I will sing the song that ends the Earth.

Wow. Gambling problem much?

Chocobo Panic XMAS

Like I said, I will write a review for this soon, hopefully by the end of this week. I just need to recollect my thoughts and find some free time. I promise to get it done though!

Turning every dungeon into a challenge

My only question is: can you choose to do the challenge later? Meaning, is this challenge a one time thing that if you decline, you can't do it again? Or can you come back to it later?
