No, I'm not upset; I was just surprised to be honest. You are right though; considering your position, making a judgment call is difficult. I think I was kind of on edge from reading a lot of responses to F-G's review on another site. I get very annoyed by mindless masses who fall in step with the loudest person. F-G's review is fine, and krayg's reaction was a bit over the top, but when someone dubs a game "shitty" (not you, a comment I read elsewhere) it rubs me the wrong way, especially when one review is their only exposure to the game. Either way, not important. Water under the bridge I hope?
What is important is helping me find the last Rave Packet recipient (those that have played know what I'm talking about)!
I wish I kept track of everyone that takes one, but I didn't. Any suggestions would be great anyway!
Thanks!

I am pretty sure I am at the very end of the game and I only have one of those little bastards left! I am almost 100% positive I talked to everyone available. The only place I still haven't had a chance to look through is Boopot ever since it was blocked off by the Assassin Capes. I have yet to kill X as well, but I'm pretty sure that just ends that side quest.

Anyway, now that I probably thoroughly annoyed the powers that be here at RMN (not my intent) and since I can't seem to find a guide for this game... wait, is it kosher to ask for help on the forum about a game if the game page no longer exists? I know asking on the game page would be the right way to go, but that isn't an option right now.
Again, I didn't mean to kick up an old crazy topic; I have a knack of inadvertently kicking bees' nests. And to be clear about how I feel, this game isn't a godsend, but it has taken up quite a bit of my free time over the past couple weeks. Call me a mutant, but I enjoy this games and those similar to it. I think the varied upgrading of weapons and items is what got me (again, I'm a collectathon weirdo).

What happened to the link for the Fire Saga Quest?

The good review of it was rather vague. But I haven't played it myself (I don't make time to play games these days) so I just going by what I've seen and heard of the game, tis all.
Wow... I just lost a bit of respect for you with this one... Normally, I let people feel the way they want about a game, but not having played it and passing judgement so quickly?
No biggy. I just thought you gave games a bit more credit than that.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that really appreciated this game! Btw, here's the link to download it:

I haven't tested it since I already have the game, but hopefully it downloads and unzips fine. If I recall correctly you need the RTP files for it to work, but that shouldn't be a problem for most people.
I'm still waiting to hear back to see if he'd be willing to try and repost it here (again if that doesn't kick up too much crap over here).
Enjoy!

Wow... I wish I could have seen the criticism. I have had nothing but fun (and the typical frustration of playing a good game) while traversing this game. Anyway, thanks guys. I think I'll try to get in touch with him. Maybe I could revive this game on RMN? Granted, I am not really familiar with the rules on posting games, but I'm sure I could read up on it so I don't cause trouble. Thanks again!
EDIT: I finally tracked him down! The game is actually still available on mdiafire (I think, I'll copy the link later...). Thanks again all, especially chana for his whereabouts!

Ok, I found one other post about this game, and all people sad was to refer to its game page. As far as I know, it was taken down moths ago. Luckily, I downloaded it before it went down. Does anyone know who made this game and/or what happened to them? It is a REALLY good game; quirky as hell, but a fantastic play. The main reason I want to know who made it is to see if they would put it back up here, and, if not, would I be allowed to post it?
Thanks in advance!

The silent hero?

But ultimately, its your game, so do what you want! I personally would find it strange to have Link talk just like it would be strange for a Dragon Warrior hero to talk as well. I'm sure your game will do fine whatever you decide though!
I agree, this is your game, do what you feel would make it the most appropriate. I understand your concern with how people would receive it, but making these games is about having fun, not pleasing the masses. I will agree to some extent that it be a bit odd to have Link talk the first few times, but I'd get used to it, and it wouldn't ruin the game by any means. Plus, I'm sure you're not going to give him dialogue that reflects what was shown above. That would go completely against the promise of logical, concise, meaningful dialogue.
I also agree that imagination can't always encompass the way the character (or for that matter the player) would respond. There are several occasions where I would love to tell an NPC to shove it! Considering the way Link complies with almost everything throughout the series, I don't feel like that was ever a response that I could have "imagined". The least compliant you could possibly be is to just say "No", which seems so bland. Giving the author the ability to paint the character in a way he/she sees fit usually helps to enhance the gaming experience.
Either way, do what you think seems right. Personally, I will play the hell out of this game regardless. Little things like these shouldn't be a game-ending decision. To me, this choice is like trying to decide if you should put sprinkles on a cake or not: if you do, it will be a bit more unique than what was expected, and if you don't, no one will notice that they aren't there.
Leaked?
Wow... I just realized how optimistic the release date was lol! But, like Celes says, good things come to those that are patient. Keep it up guys! I've been on the edge of my seat for months waiting for this game!
