Dragon Quest: Legacy of the Lost

On the floor above the basement there are 9 torches in the same pattern as the ones that lit up. If you light them in the same order, the passage will open. :)

(You can watch the pattern as many times as you need if you touch the pedestal again).

Dragon Quest: Legacy of the Lost

Roy, are you on the lower level (when it is dark?) There is a center pedestal that you need to place the recovered sun ring on.

You'll find the sun ring from one of those armos statues.

@jf1810: I'm surprised I made that a requirement. I figured most people would use her, but I didn't mean to make her required for that scene!

Dragon Quest: Legacy of the Lost

For the pyramid, I am normally level 9.

could i have messsed that up by sleeping at the inn before putting out the flames

Not at all! Have you obtained the Clearwater Dew and returned to the Bariden Mayor? Until you've done that, the guy from Bariden won't be in the inn.

@TEO:
I'll send you a PM. Exodus' battle should not restart unless you failed the fight

what is the second trigger after sleeping at the lindenburg inn? i still cant get to the mayor.

As long as you've done the following, the mayor will speak to you:

1. Save Bariden from the flames.
2. Have Olian read the hieroglyphics to you at the pyramid base.
3. Talk to the Bariden man in the Lidenburg Inn (requires you to rest).

Dragon Quest: Legacy of the Lost

@edchuy:

You haven't messed up at all! You want to make sure when the volcano is in the "erupting" sequence that you hurry up and get out of there. The bright red lava / blinking lava will kill you if you step in it.

@jf1810:

Try spending a night at the Lidenburg Inn. :)

Dragon Quest: Legacy of the Lost

@Wildwind:

Yep, that was it! It all had to be in CAPS. :)

@Spandam:
Think back to everything you've done so far in the game. Is any thing that you've seen that is "holy"?

Grab another vial of Holy Water from Gustav in Erdrichia. :)

Dragon Quest: Legacy of the Lost

The Pyramid password is actually a little annoying. I'm releasing a "fixed" version where password all fits, but it just so happens the first part of the password "DARKNESS CAN" does not quite fit into the box. It fits, but you can't tell what the last letter you type is that much.

If you type "DARKNESS CAN" in all caps and then "NEVER FADE" in all caps it will let you through. :)

Creating a Patch for a game in RPGMaker VX

Yeah, I understand. I actually thought it was common practice to encrypt it (up to this point, I haven't played that many games).

There should be nothing that prevents a player from preventing the game, just minor annoyances such as one map causing serious lag on most people's computers.

Creating a Patch for a game in RPGMaker VX

It's a nice idea to eventually add a full download with all the fixes, but while you're waiting on any more reports you could just create a small patch file that includes the maps you had to edit, the sys files (if you had to edit anything system related like database and whatnot) and the graphics files that are missing, if there are any.

People can just copy/paste from the patch and apply the fixes, but after you're sure that you got all the issues completely it would be a good idea to add a new download with the good version, since most people will just click the download button on the game page and expect it to work.

Does this work if the game is encrypted? How will the user copy and paste the updated maps?
