PUNK_KRICKET'S PROFILE

Call me Kricket - I review games at an infrequent pace.

I'm also a whole idiot just enjoying life with my opinions and music.

I snickered at 'lore whore'.

Nah, I'm the same way - world building is something I need to fully invest in a game. The more I can read and digest, the more I enjoy the game as it continues.

even playing it off an on.
Is there any other way to play a game?

I don't know - I can get obsessive over a game if it somehow draws me in. Hack and slashers don't, usually. They're my transition games or my non-committal titles.

I poured several weeks into the previous Deus Ex, after acquiring the Directors Cut version. Meanwhile, I get bored of games like Hyrule Warriors after a few days.

Fan The Sea

Man, I'm looking forward to this title. A noncombat game where I have to keep all my choices in mind and make sure they line up AND work my way into the lives of people?

Hell yah.

Ver 0.2.0 released.

After Juan and Sue hooked up, I encountered a glitch that prevented the story event afterward from triggering correctly. Have you had any issues with that?

I sometimes wonder if Koei does better with their other titles (Hyrule Warriors, Arslan) because since playing HW, I've never had it freeze or lag on me, unlike DW8.

-shrugs- Still, paid sixty bucks for HW when it first came out and am still unlocking stuff, even playing it off an on.

Meat Leftovers!

^_^ I appreciate listing me, but alas, my computer is tapped for space. But! Feel free to give to the others! Again, though, thanks for listing meh!

I'm currently contemplating the ways in which I can be an asshole to someone being an asshat to someone else, and then realizing I'm way too lethargic for it.

Ah, sweet, sweet lethargy. I'd snuggle it if it were a person.
The best way to be an asshole to someone if they don't live near you:
Get powdered milk.
Strew it all over their lawn.
Leave it up to the elements to deal justice.

Basically when it rains they get milk on the lawn. Add some sunny days and it curdles. Smells to high hell and beyond. X3

Well now, I never thought of doing this. XD Now I want to.

Wobble wobble ~

Yo! Welcome. :3

We need to talk about the fan games here after what happened to the Metroid 2 Project

With over two million downloads, good luck to Nintendo getting people to stop playing it. I've seen it on a torrent site or two already and even if one torrent gets taken down, another one or two rise up in it's place.

I mean, I have the game myself (and yet don't really play it - mainly downloaded it knowing it'd go offline from the main source eventually, as was right) and while it's neat, all I see it using are assets from the games such as tile sets, character sets (more as models, I think - most of the battle models look new to me) and the battle system.

Then again, I'm not far enough into it to see if the original 700+ Pokemon pop up or if it's all 198 of the ones made for the game.

To me, Nintendo has made themselves look like angry children over the fact fans would take their characters and make viable titles that were contenders to their own. They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, but apparently not to Nintendo.

But on the other hand, protecting their IP is at the core of their legal action, which is well within their right. Doesn't stop me from thinking they're pitching a tantrum over a free-game that won't rival their new games once they drop.
