RPGMaker Cola
What in particular made you folks want to go with RPGmaker 2k3 for your projects? I'm a long time user of it myself, so I'm always curious to hear why other devs choose to use a program made 17-18 years ago for their games!

Yeah, it's a continuation of the original program with a lot of new features added, such as the capacity for .lua programming which allows for a lot of fun level mechanics. Makes it TONS easier to create interesting stage gimmicks, and the new level editor is much easier to use. (In my opinion; I know there's a lot of folks who prefer the old one!)
Even if we don't end up doing another collab project, it's still a great continuation of the SMBX editor and I'd highly recommend it if you want to get back into making fun platformer levels.

Same here! I'm a lot better at SMBX2 now, haha. (And also submitting on deadlines). I'd love to contribute to another one of these with my New and Improved SkillsTM

Gosh, thanks so much Cashmere!! I always appreciate your support, it's been super motivating. :D
And yeah, it's really funny how that is! I haven't really met a ton of neurotypical creatives, funnily enough. Nearly all of the artists I know either already knew they were neurodivergent (like ADHD and the like) or found out they were this year. What a funky phenomenon! I wish I could tunnel in on hyperfocusing to finish my games, that would be SUCH a gamedev superpower, haha. Alas, I got too many ideas bonkin' around in my brain, so I'm glad I have some medication now to help me get my brain into high gear when I gotta get stuff done. XP
edit: ALSO also im glad you think I got a great radio voice too!! I had to rerecord so many times because I kept finding little areas since I have a tendency to speak too fast. I actually had a blanket over my desk and laptop the whole time while recording (for audio quality reasons) so it got real hot under there too, so I was trying to nail it all in a couple takes by the end. I think it was worth the effort!
