Meh... its kind of a guilty pleasure but I'm reading the Harry Potters start to finish, I'm almost finished with the Chamber of Secrets.

FFX ain't too bad. Who cares how the dude looks really; you get over that pretty fast and then you form an opinion of the actual game.
Yeah, it had some nice features, like the sphere grid and blitzball, but I really hated Tidus, and everyone else in the game just looked.... weird.... for my tastes.
But really if I wasn't thinking about how better the previous ones were compared to FFX, and if I actually took an honest look at the game for what it is and not what it needs to live up to... then I would probably appreciate it much more.

Meh... not another one...
Yeah... I stopped playing the series after FF9... FF10 really pissed me off especially when I found out my main character is a dorky surfer looking dude named Tidus who wears gay yellow shorts.
Final Fantasy 11 in my opinion wasn't that bad... but it never compelled me enough to finish it.
Some of my hardcore gamer friends dared to play the series beyond Final Fantasy 11... and to this day they just seem to have nothing to say about it. But I have to give them credit for actually beating the games, which I could never do.
Everything before FFX = Pure Sakaguchi gold
Best FF in my opinion = Final Fantasy VI

They're not shoved under any carpets. It's a new engine and there are only a few games made(recently) for it. Not everybody has the skills to be good at Mario games so they aren't very interested in playing them.
On a site that hosts RPG games made in RPG makers it's only natural that non-RPG games don't get much attention.
Meh, well, thank you for enlightening me.
However no matter how you look at it, this site IS geared toward RPG games and that's what most people are interested in when they come to this site, not platformers. That is why I say that SMBX games are shoved under the carpet here and will probably always be no matter how much time SMBX remains an engine.

Making cutscenes
Well damn Link_2112 thanks for that great tutorial, seeing as how I started out using the RPGXP engine cut scenes is going to be a must for my Mario game.

actually, the aleins don't come in until a few levels. right after the first boss (4th level).
