Very nice, except for the crates, that looks pretty decent. I must ask though, couldn't you have just set the priority for the rooftops?

The Beginning Demo Released

Thanks for the feedback Everguard, its been a while since I've worked on the game, and alot of the things you and others have mentioned I've been thinking about but just needed someone to say it. I've got to sit down and take an honest look at the game and remove still remaining bugs before I continue.

Keep in mind this demo is just meant to lay out the story and provide at least one dungeon. It is my belief that instead of making three short games, I would like to make one long game. I've got alot of maps that need to be used so I'd say I'm 20 percent done with the game. So I'll post again when I've progressed the game and fixed more of the bugs, thanks for the advice!

Tales of Arcadia Feedback

Let me first say that I'm used to XP and 2003, Arcadia is really the first game Ive played on VX. Also I understand your still in the beginning stages of this game so some of the glitches I mentioned you might be aware of already. I also did not register into the forums so some of this might have been already talked about.


+ Use of hidden items and indication of hidden items was very good.

+ Mapping is very clean and well placed.

- Short intro, I like games with some kind of a cut scene or intro at the beginning, but that's just me, I understand alot of people like to get right into action haha.

+ Good spelling and solid dialogue.

- Marty kind of casually strolls in and tells Lance that the village is under attack.

+ Good music selection, sounds alot like LofG.

- I did not like the battle music.

- No music in certain places, or music stops completely.

+ Lots of items.

+ I enjoyed the scene when the first village was under attack.

- Took me a while to figure out that you can save your progress at a well.

- Not much variety in the maps particularly in the fields, alot of the same thing repeated with the same enemy's.

- The run button, this is the same problem that plagued my game at first. Nobody liked it and everyone complained about it so I removed it. And I can see why, it's not like your holding a game controller where it's easy to constantly depress a button.

- Party seems a bit unbalanced with two warriors.

+ Vast open world, good for exploring and getting involved in side-quests.

+ Likable main character.


Bugs

Passibility issue with the castle walls, you can walk over the top of the spikes
Sprite problems when you first find Marcus
First town when I enter item store or inn music stops.
No music in fields

Hope this helps you, tell me if you need me to elaborate ;)

As for Legacy, I'm going to wait until the final release before I give it a play.
