Game Grumps Are Playing an RPG Maker Game

Looks cute. I like the whole gender role reversal gimmick.

Game Grumps Are Playing an RPG Maker Game

Happy Holidays everyone its been a while since I've been here. I noticed the Game Grumps were playing something that was clearly made in RPG Maker and thought I'd share.

It's possible I said this before but I wish the Game Grumps would play Unity's Last Minute Gift.

Are there any games you would like to see the Game Grumps play?

Deving vs. Gaming

I enjoy playing games but don't have much time to as I used to. If you want to learn a new concept from a game sometimes just seeing it in a video is enough to understand the premise of the gaming concept and so playing new games rarely adds to ideas for me at least these days. In fact sometimes its better to look to the outside world for game play ideas.

Pokemon Types

Poison being strong against Water is genius man!
Something like Muk could definitely pollute Water.

I used to think Light would be good but since they made the Fairy type, I feel like that was GameFreak's like unique way to have a light type, know what I mean?
That said they could have Light as well since it can have different attributes as you pointed out.

Also thanks for explaining the balancing stuff about Electric type. :D

Pokemon Types

What sort of new types if any would you want to see in Pokemon? And what would they be strong against, weak against, resistant to, and ineffective toward?

Also, I'm bringing this up cause while looking through my closet the other day I found my old manual for Pokemon Yellow Version and couldn't help remembering that I always felt the Electric type should have one other weakness since its the only type besides Normal to have one weakness. Is that not an issue? Do they balance the Electric type in some other way that I'm not seeing?
I was thinking that Fiary type could be changed to be strong against electric since magic has powers beyond the laws of physics where as electric technology is bound by the laws of physics. I think thats a good enough reason to make fairy type strong against Electric. -\(ouo)/-
A Rubber type would work to but I'm guessing Rubber type wouldn't be popular. Since Rubber comes from a tree I guess you could argue for Grass to be srng against Electric but I dont think so since Rubber is a very specific plant substance so Grass probably wouldn't do.

Anyway types I would like to include are:

Sound Type
Strong against - Ghost, Psychic, and Dark (maybe Ice)
Weak against - Flying,Fairy,Electric, and Space-time
Resists - Psychic, Steel
Resisted by - Water, Flying and Ground
Inneffective to - Space-time
Uneffected by - Dark

Space-time Type
Strong against - Normal, Ground, Electric and Space-time
Weak against - Fairy, and Ghost
Resists - Normal, Poison, Electric and Psychic
Resisted by - Psychic, Fairy, Dark, and Dragon
Inneffective to - N/A
Uneffected by - Sound

I'm lookin for advice about RPG Maker MV and Game Maker

Thank you very much for all your advice. I never heard of some of those engines, I will look into them. Of the ones that were mentioned Stencyl, GameSalad, Cocos2d, Xamarin, and Godot which would you consider the most user friendly?

I'm lookin for advice about RPG Maker MV and Game Maker

So someone recently has been talking to me about making a game together. And he would like to put something out in the near future on mobile.
I've been wanting to learn Unity but maybe I should start smaller.
I already know RPG Maker XP pretty well. But for making a mobile game I'm pretty sure I would have to use something else right like RPG Maker MV or Game Maker.
MV seems the most sensible step since I figure if I understand XP, MV is probably similar. But Game Maker could open up a lot of new gameplay possibilities for me. Is Game Maker hard to learn?

EDIT: ALSO CAN YOU SELL A GAME USING THE FREE VERSIONS OF UNITY AND GAMEMAKER OR WILL I NEED TO INVEST MONEY INTO THE PAID VERSIONS TO MAKE A MOBILE GAME I CAN SELL?

Sudoku RPG :P

Just had a random fun idea this morning.
Remember those Battle Chess games that make chess look more exciting.
Well what if there was a Sudoku RPG in which battles were Sudoku puzzles. And when you found the right number you watch your hero attack and if you make a mistake your character takes damage. Also maybe you could take damage if you take too long.

And there could be a whole story too, why not?
We could call this hypothetical game Sir Doku.

Why the hell did the game Rampage get a movie?

Yeah it probably would be better as anime.
Speaking of which did you know there was an anime side story of Chrono Trigger.
It's not really serious but it exists.

Why the hell did the game Rampage get a movie?

Lavos is kinda like a Kaiju make a movie about Chrono Trigger lol. Plus there's that big Dinosaur monster that Azala rides in Ayla's era that's another Kaiju :P

But yeah I guess that at least explains why Hollywood made a Rampage movie, thanks VisitorsFromDreams. So its just Hollywood looking at a possible trend that they can lazily milk.
