What are good game engines for making a Card Game?

Thanks I downloaded all 3 those RPG Maker Games that Marrend mentioned. Though at the moment I've only had time to try the Triple Triad: Tournament of the Elements game. I see that it was made with RPG Maker MV which that one is about $100 to buy last I checked. I might buy it, depends on if I can get in contact with the person who made it, UPRC. I'll probably private message them at some point to ask some questions. I also bookmarked Godot and Cockatrice so I can look into those options more. I briefly looked at Tabletop Simulator, it appears like it's not meant for making commercial games and I do actually want to make a game I can sell. Even though my game idea is inspired by Triple Triad it won't be Final Fantasy related at all. As for what LockeZ said, I've been planning to make it as real physical cards for a long time now but lately I've thought that perhaps I should make it a videogame as well. But in terms of testing the gameplay, I made some paper cards a long time ago and played them with my young niece and nephew. My nephew enjoyed it but my niece lost interest after a while though she doesn't seem to care for games much in general I recall once letting her play Zelda MM on my 3DS but she wasn't interested. Anyway, the point is that I know my general mechanics work and are fun to atleast some people. That said, I've been adding more and more rules so I do need to do more testing.

What are good game engines for making a Card Game?

I'm wanting to make a card game but I only have RPG Maker XP.
Is there a particularly good engine for making a card game?
I would need it to be able to make some sort of AI to face the player. Maybe that could be done with RPG Maker XP but I'm not sure yet. Also the resolution isn't great for that since the cards I'm making are very large 1000pixels wide by 1400pixels tall (Though I can likely reduce the resolution on my cards.) The game idea is somewhat similar to Triple Triad from Final Fantasy 8.
So if you have any thoughts or suggestions I would appreciate it.

Imaginative Swords of the Congo

I've been making some videos lately about swords.
Here's the newest one.

Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin

Another thing that annoys me is this main guy Jack who already kinda annoys me will probably end up looking more like the Warrior of Light by the end of the game if I had to guess and I just don't like that sort of personality put on the Warrior of Light.

I would rather choose a party of 3 or 4 among the 6 original classes and play through the game as them even if they were silent.

In any case, it looks more like a reboot than a remake of the original, so the FF1/Dissidia story can still be considered canon.

Also, I agree with Avee about using the old school job classes and also that this game is not necessarily cannon.

Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin

What are your thoughts on the new Final Fantasy game, Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin?

I really don't like the generic looking protagonist. I heard that he might be so dull looking because its meant to be an Isekai but I don't care. For one I don't think I want an FF Isekai for two that's not a good enough excuse for this guy's design or the game look in general.

If a game is called Final Fantasy Origins I want that to look like a 3D version of a Yoshitaka Amano painting. Doesn't that sound lovely? Why can't they do that?

Anyway gameplay wise its hard to say I didn't see much gameplay. It might be fun.

How can Designers Create Levels to deal with Unflexable Players?

Thanks for all the responses, it was an insightful read.
I think I came up with a decent idea that could help players without frustrating them. This might not be easy to implement but perhaps in menu you could have a sliding hint scale which would give you a partner who gives out tips when needed based on where the player set the scale. So lees confident players could have a more hand holding experience when the scale is at 100% and vetern player can set the hint scale to 0% and you can set it to 15% 50% 75% and etc depending on your skills. This still might not work perfectly since a game dev can't account for every mistake a player makes but its an idea.
There probably isn't a perfect solution but it was interesting to think about.

How can Designers Create Levels to deal with Unflexable Players?

I was watching a Lets Play of someone playing Super Mario Sunshine. She had the Rocket Jump and was trying to get to Pianta village. She fell off the platform but instead of simply rocket jumping back up from where she fell she instead went back through the sewers to a particular spot and then tried again wasting much of her time. She's done this in other areas too. In the first level of the game she kept falling off near the houses which she could have easily jumped back up on but instead kept taking a ridiculously long route back up frustrating herself in the process. Do some people just have linear brains, like unflexable mindsets in how things must be done? I'm sure there's probably a little of that in all of us to some extent but clearly some players only narrowly focus on one possible solution without considering others. So my question to all of you is, what can we all do as game designers to counteract this issue and show players that there are multiple ways and better ways to solve a challenge?

How Are You All Holding Up?

I already had depression before the pandemic but I think it made things worse for me. I might try out anti-depressant medicine soon.

RPG Maker is on Sale on Steam

I don't know if this is common knowledge but in case its not I just wanted to let everyone know that a lot of the RPG Makers are on sale on Steam.

Most of them are significantly low on price 2003, XP, and VX especially

The newest one MZ is also on sale but as you can imagine its only a small discount on that particular one.

Anyway hope that helps some of you.
