Cashmere wants to review your games
author=CashmereCat
Hey RedMask
Don't be despondent. People have differing opinions. If a game disappoints one person, it'll probably be enjoyed by another person. Don't let criticism get to you, especially if it is quite strong criticism. Either just shrug it off or make changes and keep going. You can't please everyone, even the best games don't please everyone! I've heard very harsh reviews of excellent games. So you're bound to disappoint at least a couple of people.
I'll tell you what. If I feel that I play the game and it is not as polished as I think it could be, I will provide an "unrated" review. If I feel that the game is positively rated, I will rate it so. Is that a good deal?
Even if you don't want me to review your game I still intend to play it, because it looks good.
Thanks for your support CashmereCat. Sorry it took me so long to respond I've spent almost all of my free time lately trying to update my game and I've finally finished the update. Please try out the new and improved Nsala Liberation.
Most of the updates pertain to the start of the game and they include features like better directions, sooner explanations of controls, some condensed maps, easier challenges, and etc. I also improved the last boss because I just felt he needed to be less time consuming. Plus, the last boss just works better now.
Anyway, if you have already started playing the old version than I will understand if you don't want to start over. Although, I'm not certain but I believe save files from the old version would be transferable if you wanted to try that. But if you haven't already started please try this version.
And yes I do think that's a good deal thank you for being so kind.
Thank you everyone at rpgmaker.net
The update to my game is almost done. Hopefully I'll be able to post it in a few days. The updates are mostly based on the feedback I got so far.
Thank you all for your continued support.
I can't wait to finish this update I almost took time out of work to get more done but the school doesn't give us non permanent workers many sick days. I actually am sick too but I've been through worse and I figure it's better to save my sick days in case I get a more serious sickness.
By the way a few days ago, some how my game got on the Buzzing Games section for a short while. I have no idea how that happened but thank you. I actually took a screen shot of that one.

Cashmere wants to review your games
Hi CashmereCat is it alright if I ask you to wait on reviewing my game for a bit? I just got my first review and it didn't turn out well. The guy made up his mind about the game after only a short bit of play time. I feel so broken right now. I think I'll try to update my game soon and then ask you again for a review after the update is complete. I'm so sorry if my game is disappointing anyone.
Nsala Liberation Review
Thank you for your input I will take your review into consideration for an eventual update to the game.
Although I wish you had played more of the game it seems you never got past the first few parts of the game. I intended the game to have an old school difficulty maybe easy mode would have benefited you more.
The following are some of my thoughts on your critque.
Originally, I had Clua tell Lanoa about the vine ladder but my test players saw it as an obvious ladder so I removed that hint from the game to cut down on what seemed to be useless tutorial. Perhaps I should add that back in or find another way to make it more obvious.
I see what you mean about wanting more direction. The reason I didn't do that is because I thought it was better for players to find where they needed to go. That being said I understand that modern games are more apt to tell players exactly where to go so I will implement more directions at least for the easy mode and perhaps for the original mode as well.
The Z button can be used to push objects for certain puzzles but you haven't got to any of those yet also it is used for a Tidal Wave spell you get later in the game which pushes certain enemies on screen.
As far as I know RPGMakerXP's default confirm button is the C key. Sorry if you were confused.
I suppose the message about the intent of the game, contact info and control customization could be put at the start. I'll keep that in mind for the update.
The thing you describe as a “ORANGE ALIEN DEVICE” is an Ashanti soul washer disk.
That gets explained in the game eventually.
Milk and Blood offerings are usually given to certain spiritual objects in various African cultures.
This too also gets explained in the game. It's not that odd considering many cultures around the world use blood in rituals.
That herb does only recover a small amount of life. Fifty to be exact, although it varies depending on luck. Later in the game your max life can be in the thousands and fifty will seem like a small amount which is why you can get better healing items later in the game.
I'll fix the problem you had with the bridge it should be simple to fix. I just never had that problem in testing. So, it hadn't occurred to me that it might happen.
The guy that you think is wearing a lab coat is wearing a traditional cloth worn in Cameroon. As far as the machines and lava are concerned keep in mind this is a FANTASY game.
I thought it would be fun to put in Developer Commentary. I never saw it in a game and they always have commentary for movies so I thought why not have it in games. It's all optional anyway. But if you think it's all that distracting then maybe I'll make it so that they only activate after beating the game.
Yeah now that you mention it I probably should make that tree area more straight forward.
Not sure why you had a problem with the healing spell non of my testers have encountered this.
The enemies don't send you back you must have just walked off the path.
Please, clarify what problems you had with the sound effects.
Sorry about any spelling errors I'll try to fix those.
The puzzle you got stuck in is an homage to Zelda's Lost woods. If it seems to difficult than I will see if I can make it easier.
I hope you give my game another chance some time.

R.I.P. H. R. Giger
H. R. Giger died a couple of days ago.
He's the artist who designed the aliens for the film "Alien"
"Alien" went on to inspire many other sci-fi movies and videogames.
Contra and most notably Metroid would not be the same without H. R. Giger.
The man changed the look of sci-fi.

Screen shots Less = More?
Well I just added a new shot I'll probably add more later.
It's another mode 7 shot.
This new one is Lanoa's and Rawjal's home. Since they are witches the whole place is decked out with Yoruba divination objects.

Should the last boss be super challenging?
I think a last boss should be challenging but I'm not opposed to the idea of an easy last boss either. It depends on context I think.
Also, here's a thought does the last boss have to be the final challenge in the game?
Metroid for example has you escape the planet after the defeat of the last boss.

What happened to manuals?
I love a good game manual it gives you something to read on the drive home from the game store. Plus, it hypes you up to play it. Clearly, I'm not the only one to have fond memories like that.
And then there are those times when you're just laying in bed and you're like hey I never really looked at the manual to this game (or didn't finish looking at it) let me take a look at that for a minute. Enjoy the art and stuff.

Reading the manual on the way home from the store was half the fun.
/me lived an hour away from the city as a kid

Nebelsoft's dungeon of creation
Your favorite game EVER!
author=ZPEauthor=CashmereCatSotC (and also Ico) can be enjoyed on the PS3 though I found the camera giving me headaches on the HD port for some reason...
More and more people are recommending Silent Hill 2 as a must-experience story but I don't have a PS2! I'm even contemplating buying one because there are such awesome games as Ico and Shadow of the Colossus on that console that I never ever got a chance to play.
ZPE is right they did make a PS3 remake of Ico and Shadow of Colossus but if you do decide to get a PS2 I would also suggest picking up:
Metal Gear Solid 3 - Easily one of the best games ever made
Final Fantasy 10 and 12 - These games aren't as good as the 2d classics like 4 and 6 but they are still great games.
Devil May Cry 3 - If you want a challenging action game than look no further.
Resident Evil 4 - I played the Gamecube version but I'm sure this one is just as good.
