The fear and the hunger are upon me...

One should be well aware that to keep adding on to the planning stage would result in a vapour-ware, needless to say.

However, if you are actually working through the actual project (as you should be at some point), and half-way through you find yourself loosing motivation due to new idea s and themes keeping you on the edge of your seat, I think it is a smart practice to always keep a look-out for ways to incorporate them into the current projects rather than starting anew, or keeping the distracting restlessness.

Now, if that requires a major overhaul of the current project as some seem to get the impression of, then that is not what I meant by incorporating; it is rather closer to a revamp. Hence, it isn't relevant.

When I say incorporate, I mean merely adding the ideas to the path of a project in a linear fashion if it allows. Sure, it could shift the path of the current project, but would you rather stop working on/wasting the effort spent on that project completely (as I'm sure many should have experienced by now), or renew that passion and at least focus fire to continue on what you've spent your life working on for the past few months?

It is merely the lesser of the two evils where it fits to be done.

The fear and the hunger are upon me...

As many have said already, the number of projects you should be working at the same time should always be expressed as a single digit in binary. I think incorporating the new ideas into the current project is a great way to get around the temptations; and don't be afraid to shift the current project's future paths if they deem fit.

Heheh, nice.
I think you mean just the straw houses though; the first two houses to the entrance is the northwest ones. :p

@F-G:
Looks good. Some of the passages seem to be pretty narrow; personally I'm fine with it, but I think it might be best to make it at least 2-squares for most parts from what I've heard on the issue.

Shhh, put that in spoiler/hide codes! :P

@Skie:
Very nice, simple yet stylish! I like the colour scheme too (of menu).

A little "Where's Waldo" -esque thing for fun:

@Ephiam:
Nice, really like the still-animations. The fact that they take out the shields when in defense stance is awesome.

RMNCast: Episode 8

I kept it playing while recording and just had to share the chuckling clip (I can't tell whose it is in this):

It's at the end of this clip.

I just tried it on Internet Explorer and it's working like normal, so it must just be a Chrome glitch (or my comp).

Edit:
Fixed link; at first I linked it to the link already posted by accident.

P.S. If anyone else is using Chrome, please let me know if this is happening to you too. I vaguely remember that I was using Chrome last time and it didn't glitch like this.

RMNCast: Episode 8

Huh, it seems to be just me that's having this problem where the pitch is shifted up/sped up. At first I thought it was an intended joke but then it kept going so I tried to listen to the others and they were like this as well. I think it may be due to my google chrome browser, which has been glitching up lately.

Here's what it sounds like when I click "play" (direct recording).

@kentona:
Neat stuff. Just something really really minor: The rock walls' bottom edge that touch the water seems a bit too horizontally flat to the water given its texture.

RM* Variables

Just around 250 variables. First few are all just parameters for common events; time keeper, door type, lighting type, loop value etc. I think it may be a good idea to reserve some disposable variables on the first page that are to be used in any scenarios for convenience, but I just get lazy and make new ones to save the hassle of commenting anyway. :x

And yeah, self switches are kinda hard to live without. The only thing is that sometimes when you're debugging and want to set the scenario to a certain point, you can't temporarily set self switches as easily from one external source - so they should probably only go to trivial things.
