Feedback Appreciated - Item Identification Methods
Hm...perhaps the favor could be used in the safe floor to buy groups of items as identified, like all plants identified for a high cost.
Although that's not an on the fly option, hrm...perhaps as a trade off, while trying to identify and item your stealth goes down? Like you can click it to have it studied right away, but your stealth goes down greatly for several turns, or maybe your stealth is down while you study it. Although people can still just run around an empty floor after clearing out the enemies, but I suppose that makes sense from a narrative stand-point.
In terms of justifying favor usage, all favor is from pieces of the dead enemies, correct? Parts of their body that you can sell? Perhaps...experimenting with those pieces is what tells you about the items properties, destroying the item in the process. Or maybe testing the item on a newly dead corpse can tell you about it?
I feel like I should have some better idea or thoughts, but I'm way too tired at the moment. (And still need to catch up on the RP for that matter, urg)
Edit: Something else to consider is just...not having it as an option. I mean the whole point of this is to explore and experiment anyway. Does some of this stay between playthroughs either way?

The Drop
So we actually get to go inside the Shra capital in a weird sense...huh. I'll be paying attention to the enemies and descriptions in that area.
The Drop

Eh, they're not meant to be very realistic. I'll admit for the mountains all I was thinking was "rock," though the walls for the swamp are meant to resemble a particular building from The Reconstruction.
The Shra Capital? The only other thing I can think of it something from Do'Ssha, although Nal's more associated with swamps...

@Ro9ge: well actually what i suggested, should give player more freedom. it means you can play differently with Lani, class changes how spell work, so you could chose whatever you wanted, then chose how your spell work (long rang, low damage/medium range, medium damage/ high damage trap, low range) so my suggestion was to expand it, and it was 3 very basic class, there could be alchemist who use natural resources to create his own throw able object, or geomancer who use floor as base of how his spell work. options are limitless, balance is scarce.
thanks for reading.
Ah, gotcha. The class chosen has an overall modifier to everything? Interesting. The only issue is that there's already traits that will affect defense and vision, not sure about attack, though. Also, changing the preset range and damage of spells might cause balance issues or be unnecessary since I'm sure there's already long and short range spells with high and low damages that you can already focus on. Deltree said there was a rather large amount on his blog I think...
I do hear you about it being a bit of a hassle to change spells, but trust me it's worth it. The bonus to picking the right element's very big and much more easily determined than their weakest stat. In terms of keeping track of three health bars, it's not that bad once you're used to it in my experience.
So, while the classes is a cool idea, I think everything mentioned can kind of already be modified with traits. You should check out this video if you haven't already - http://rpgmaker.net/games/4395/media/823/ - it gives a full rundown of all the possibilities at character creation. It should help you better understand all that you can do already. I can't watch it now, but I'll double-check later.
The Drop
If the Reconstruction is any indication, this is set up to essentially custom make your own class when you make a character. Restricting it to 3 classes isn't nearly as good as being able to pick from a huge list of perks and backstory instead that affects your character in my opinion.
Tehgonan also gets access to I think most elements early, which makes manipulating enemy weaknesses much easier than, say, Moke. I think the game is set up to stop the story part at floor 30, even though infinite crawling is possible, which means the growth effect hopefully won't be that bad, but I admit to sharing the same concern. However, learning enemy properties can be extremely helpful.
Yeah, the high health kind of stinks, but I also like the strategy that it brings. The worst part is that it takes health from the area you're most likely bad in if you're strong in that area, like Moke taking from Soul for his mind attacks. (I think) Oy.

The Reconstruction
Also, quick note: The game takes place only a year or so after the Blue Plague occurred, before the events of The Reconstruction. I don't know if you were aware of that or remembered it, since your comment about the liberation mandate seems to indicate you were thinking it was more recently, whereas in the game no matter what it would have to be only been recent.
The Reconstruction
Gotcha. I guess the large difference in beliefs from the two divisions made me think they were more separate than they actually were, since Santes spends most of the time talking about how they were more welcoming, etc, in Wadassia. The liberation mandate fits perfectly with what I was thinking, though. I'll have him previous have been a slave until that came into effect during the Blue Plague, in which case he was free, but uncertain of what to do, like the Shra slave at the end of Chapter 2. So, he continues to serve in a more prominent role, and even lead some, which he is struggling with.
Hahah, yeah. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

The Reconstruction
Woah, this is great! What a good way to give people characters and show them what's needed and what to base things off of. I...don't know what else to say other than awesome.
Oh, right! I'm pretty sure this is true, but I want to check. I have a Shra who was a servant in the Divine Corps from Wadassia during the Blue Plague. Did they have Shra slaves in that group? And doesn't this mean that I will have worked with Santes? I recall Zargos being in the war right before the plague, so I'm fairly certain she was there during it.
