I Miss the Sunrise
:O
I WAS RIGHT! YAY! Gosh that makes me feel proud of myself. That 5 explanation's really interesting, though. I never would have figured that out myself.

I...have no idea. I just checked and he has 4 'horns' in IMTS and 6 in TR (nice small touch), so that can't be it...is he the 5th party member you get? I know that's a bit weak but...yeah I got nothing. Deltree seemed to indicate that it was rather important, though... I originally thought that Tez was one of the first created Lacs, namely the fifth, since Prime indicated the first Lac, but now I know that's not the case.
Another random thought - I wonder if Mahk raised Xobi because he reminded him of his father? The color similarities can't be a coincidence.

So, this recent blog post has revealed some tantalizing trivia hints relating to the game! Anyone want to try their hand at figuring them out? (Or kindly uploading save files with the requisite flag requirements for numbers 1 and 2?) My wild stabs in the dark at numbers 3 and 4 can be found here and here.
Hrm...I realized I never replied to this. I wish I had more to offer, but I'm not going through the game again to find out one, although two does have me curious...However I do remember having a theory about #4. I always thought it was Tezkhra. At first Five seems not to have regained his emotions yet, and it fits Tez's distant personality to want to share thoughts on a 'blog' rather than with talking to other people. Further more, the time in which 'Five' mentions the repression wearing off is almost exactly when Tez seems to gain emotions himself at all. The timing just fits perfectly.
Welp, that's my thoughts. Thanks for your theories!
The Reconstruction
Slightly disappointed Yfus and Lani didn't get together, since some description in Sanctifel indicated that Yfus had a crush on her. XD (Although they didn't even get a partnership bonus, so how far that goes is debatable)
Somewhat confused about Clappian abandoning his research, since I just...I dunno get the idea that Clappian's going to be a big name in technology down the line in the next game, considering how much technological development happens.
"The world I cam from was...cold?" (spelling error)
Every other character had a good ending, though. The only slightly odd thing is that literally nobody got married, which...for many makes sense, but I was kind of expecting at least a few to find a special somebody. I'm not normally for shipping, but in this case it just feels wrong somehow, even if it's with somebody we've never seen from the Reconstruction considering the long expanse of time that takes place.
The only thing that really bothers me is WHERE'S XOPI? ;-; That was like...the most important thing about Dehl in the end, and...well yeah the focus is Tezkhra, and you did a really good job with him. Considering all the stuff with the Black One...there has to be something more to his story, but for what it is you did a good job writing it.
So yeah, overall great job! Those are my comments, but I really did enjoy it. :)

Demo version 0.3 Available!
Well...the problem is that I COULD use the menu while stunned. I just double-checked and it works. You can use any item in any way while you're stunned. You can't attack or move, but the menu comes up just fine.

Oh wow it's definitely still possible to spawn on an enemy. I was going in and using the gold thread continually to find the boss, and one time after I disappeared there was a firefly right on the square I was on. XD
In reference to what you posted on your website...I feel rather stupid for not trying to throw water on the fire, but...when it happened again I noticed that even when stunned I could still throw something and use the inventory. The problem earlier was that since I was stunned I didn't think I could move, so...was this intentional? If it wasn't intentional than the ability to throw water on yourself doesn't matter since you'll still be stun-locked, and I didn't notice anything in the manual about being able to use your inventory (at least in the sense of being able to throw items) when stunned...
Also using telekinesis takes up a freaking ton of memory since the game seems to get stuck for a few seconds whenever I use it, especially if it killed an enemy. I don't know if this was present earlier or not since I didn't really use that spell very much.
Good job on all these updates, though. Very impressive, and it really looks better now. Although...while the outline on menu items is much easier to see, it overlaps with some of the text on the saved files screen.

I actually did spawn on top of an enemy once. As I recall, I looked fine at first, without be being able to even see the enemy but once I moved down the enemy was in the space I was last in. It was a Young Tchitraa, or whichever you call the ones that are non-agressive towards non-humans. I don't know what would have happened if it didn't like me. But either way, the game worked fine and continued as normal, even though it did seem to spawn in the square I was in.
Also wow that's a lot of changes. o.o (Thankfully I already farmed every spell, yay :D)

Chain of Retribution
This game was....very interesting. The battle mechanics and game-play was simply amazing. All the little touches like the encounter gauge to stuff like healing after every battle and the way the skills worked made it have a perfect amount of strategy and fun. I especially loved healing after every battle, that really freed me up to enjoy the game more and not worry about dead characters or not being able to try strategies for fear of loosing my MP. And you still had a great challenge level! I don't know what else to say other than good job here with everything, I really enjoyed it. I should mention that the secret boss felt like he had a perfect difficulty level. At first he felt impossible but after using all the augments I'd completely ignored and adjusting my strategy, I just barely beat him. I also have to wonder why every single female character has hair covering half her face. Is that some kind of in-joke?)
However, the story was, in my opinion, very bad. The fact that different people wrote it at different times meant that it never knew what tone it was going for. At first it felt somewhat serious, but light-hearted, then went into full humor with the big plot-points like the shadow council, only to suddenly switch back to very serious with the ninja subplot. The lack of a consistent tone made it nearly impossible to enjoy since I never knew how I was supposed to treat and react to the game. The characters felt very bland for me, and like you mentioned being afraid of, the two girls were always annoying. Maybe if we had some reasoning why they were like that, or the in-game characters didn't hate them? I seem to be in the minority here with the characters, though, since I can't find anybody else who felt this way, so it could just be me. I wanted to like it, but I really couldn't bring myself to at all. Still, the pub topics and developers room was a nice touch.
The end felt very rushed from both perspectives, though, with the tilesets in the final area not making any sense, to the story feeling so rushed I didn't really know what happened anywhere. (Also, wow using the secret boss' equipment + rage on the main character makes all end game stuff die in just a turn or two. I'm sure that was intended, though.)
In the end, I still had very fun time due to the polish and well done mechanics of the game. However, the lack of a clear tone of the game and only so-so writing and characters made it impossible for me to enjoy the story at all. Thankfully, it was well produced enough for to make me keep on coming back, and it seems that most people enjoyed the story to at least some extent, unlike me.
Consider this a mini-review, since I'm too lazy to write a full one. xD

The Drop
The kills counted on the stat page seems to try and crunch the total number of kills into the space of a single digit, which eventually leads to not being able to tell at all how much kills I've gotten. (I think Tehgonan has like 132 kills, but it's really hard to see. XD)
The Drop
Ah, so it's not just me. Yeah, I hadn't experimented with throwing as much, but it did seem a bit underwhelming compared to how much you could heal. Although it does deal ranged damaged without draining your health.
And yeah, I'm slightly worried that over the course of a full game that -0.2 penalty might really hurt. I suppose it does get offset by the legacy character's additional 0.1, though. And also, knowing those traits could be the difference of life and death. So for now, color me intrigued.
