The new dl...you start off in the sinuses (I guess) and have to kill all the infections All I have found are 4 and they kill pretty easy. I am told now theres only one left and it is in the head. So now that path is open but you cant enter it.I was thinking maybe I had missed one, perhaps inthe butthole or somewhere but no. otherwise I wouldnt have been told to go to the head and that the path was now open.

I hate to think it but I bet the save files dont actually work. They get into the game but are already corrupted somehow and react to certain incidents.
Damn...from the beginning.
The problem this causes is that every time there is an update and this continues, everyone will have to start from scratch.
On the other hand it puts a different spin on replay value!
I went back to take another look. If you just AUTO or ATTACK then the game plays ok but if he uses his CARD DRAW skill the problem happens. Also, eveytime I beat the THIEF LEADER the same thing happens...not because I use the card skill which you cant use on bosses anyway. I meant that just beating him using the methods above, auto and attack.

save files seem to work but now almost during or after nearly every battle I get a black screen then the note with the LINE 1411 error.

I am asking if this newest update which fixes the bug keeping you from exiting the sewers is compatible with the save file? The last update which fixed the Terence bug wasnt and you had to start all over again.

The last time there was an update, the game couldnt use save files. Is this newest one which allows getting out of the sewers also one starting from the beginning?

When you come up out of the sewers the game quits and gives essentially the same message it did with the problem with Terence.
