Battle events with no conditions never execute in rm2k3

Perhaps I could use a 1x turns trigger. Loops aren't available in the battle event command list though (can't use labels or jumps to labels either). In any case it sounds like a good idea. I will try it. Thanks.

Battle events with no conditions never execute in rm2k3

I would like to create a custom battle system on top of the built in battle system in RPG Maker 2003. The way I intend to do that is by using a battle event with no conditions that will automatically execute over and over again until all characters or monsters die. The problem is that a battle event without any conditions will never ever execute. Is this a bug in rm2k3, or was this intended by the developers?
Is there a way around this that doesn't involve creating a redundant condition?

Black and White Gameplay

I am not sure why you would want the player to switch between black/white and color, but there could be any number of reasons for this. I strongly reccomend making the statues switch the system graphics to black/white and back to color since I noticed that the color of the text box was still blue in black and white mode.

Diagonal Movement (Without using precious number keys!)

Thanks for letting me know about this. I will fix this tutorial soon. In the mean time users of rm2k3 shouldn't use the movement system in this tutorial with the default area/map random battles unless you want players to be able to avoid battles simply by walking diagonally.

RM2k3++

RM2k3++ now has a small fix in the editor and now allows skills to be learned above level 99. Anybody using RM2k3++ should download it again if they want characters to learn skills above level 99.
