SOULRAIN'S PROFILE

I'm a new soul, I came to this strange world, hoping I could learn a bit 'bout how to give and take. But since I came here, felt the joy and the fear, finding myself making every possible mistake.

SWEET SIXTEEN

Sugar Rush by Soulrain
This is a funky little platformer, but, I kinda wish the checkpoints and respawn mechanics worked differently. Though, I think the game is largely geared to being family-friendly, and that having Lily pulled up by a hook, and being sent back to the last known checkpoint is likely part of that. Still, it's a little aggravating to have to sit and watch the process. Though, perhaps one can also look at this mechanic as the game's way of saying, "here's this part of the course again, now do it again, only do it right/better."

Sorry that you had trouble with the hook. I probably should've made it a little faster, to be honest. Also, Candy Gardens Act 2 has a glitch where I used the wrong object in place of a checkpoint.

SWEET SIXTEEN

Congratulations to everyone who submitted!

SWEET SIXTEEN

Final update submitted. This one fixed a bug with the boss fight at the end and changes the ending.

SWEET SIXTEEN

My minimal build is complete -- that is, the minimum that I wanted my game to be. I may add more in the future.

UPDATE: Mac and Linux builds are now available!

RMN's Event Event

I'll just submit what I have. It's not very good, but it's something.

RMN's Event Event

I've retracted the game for now. Maybe I can whip up a better one or make this one better in these next ten days...

I gave the 2 submissions currently available a quick try and wanted to share my comments in case you'd want to improve the games in the remaining time:

Soulrain: Sorry!

I'm just gonna be honest here and say that I didn't really enjoy making the game that much either

I honestly don't know what to do with it at this stage, I'm seriously considering scrapping it and remaking it from scratch

Sorry! The RPG

I was thinking of doing that, and probably should've because it would've saved me a few dozen KB of space...

RMN's Event Event

Managed to get my entry in. It's a badaptation of Sorry! that fits within 1.44MB. I had to cut a lot of stuff to make it fit within the allotted space... So much that even the ending is missing. So you could also consider it an abrupt ending game for now.

UPDATE: Forgot to remove a debug NPC from the initial build. If you downloaded the game already, please download it again.

RMN's Event Event

Might as well try my hand at a badaptation of my own.
