Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

Not as many as the first, no. There's actually been some testing this time!

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

Well, not really. I knew what the final map would look like for a while, and I've had the script written for the dialogue since last week. The map just before this one though? Oh, that was causing me some grief.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

Indeed! I'm working on the map off and on today, refining the boss battle and such. There's an event after that, and then there's also the ending which should take a day or two of semi-frequent work to finish. After that, I need to tackle all of the remaining side content.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

Should be over soon enough, yeah.

I think that this game is going to take 50 hours to beat, minimum.
I'll try really hard not to be that guy that you know is gonna be like 'woooo played it non stop and beat it in 4 days' ;D

Oh, I'm sure there will be some just like with the first game! Especially since I think that the sequel is arguably superior in all ways.

If people feel like its taking you too long, its probably because they don't realize the scope of all of the pieces you have coming together here.

You have no idea, lol.

I think that this game is going to take 50 hours to beat, minimum. That's about how long it has taken me to play through in total so far, and this is coming from the guy who does artificial grinding (giving myself experience equal to X number of fights to hasten testing in areas) and always knows where to go and what to do. I estimated that the first game would be 30-40 hours at first, so I think this one might take "a little while" for people to get through.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

Yeah, I'd honestly be lying if I said that people who hassle me over the game not being done already doesn't demotivate me slightly, it does by just enough to make working on the game feel that tiny bit more like a chore. Not helping when I'm struggling to make the final dungeon feel the way I want it to, either.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

That section belongs to me now.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II

Yeah, for real. I should probably just stop saying when I think the game will be done, because I always get someone coming after me and asking me why the game isn't done yet. Not really a problem on RMN, but I've had one or two people elsewhere over time act like they're owed something. That irks me, lol. It'll be done when it's done, I just know that it should be.... soon?

Final Title Scren

I actually had this look for 2-3 years, only white instead of black! The particles were supposed to be red, I think what makes them look extra tacky is that somehow the script decided to make them random colours (so it was completely accidental anyway and I didn't decide to try changing it when I posted this, just decided to see how it would be interpreted). I was fiddling around and got rid of the image for the particles just to see how it looked and, for the time being, I do like it more without them floating around. They meshed well with the title screen when it was all white (as were the particles), but maybe not it was just a little jarring. The title image with the red Ramuh is not being changed though, nor is the new/load game/etc. text at the bottom unless there's an outcry to do so.

Isn’t the font more along the lines of what they used in something like Final Fantasy 8?

It is, yeah. Assembled from very clean rips.
