But this guy is BigRedYoshi. Is it the same guy?

I was just wondering that.

surprised no one commented on the blatantly upsampled and badly implemented portrait

I mean, I know people at this place are like Rpg Maker nerds, but at least add some realistic shit. I mean a guy blows up an area and it leaves scorch marks? I mean, that's like saying if a terrorist blew up a train, the train would only damge the seats.

Your current map is like a terorrist blowing up a train and doing absolutely no damage to it

That's a great way to inspire people to want to help you and definitely not alienate yourself and your game from the community

Read FAQs and tutorials, browse websites, apply Google-Fu. All of these things will help you improve your designs, work around limitations, find your own goddamn resources, and generally relieve the need to refer to other people as snide when you shirk off their advice.

Also: Yes I've played games where someone blew something up and a circle of dark grass or dirt looks a hell of a lot more realistic as a 'crater' than absolutely nothing, you dig?

Graphical help.

What about 'dirt'? You said there was a dirt road tile. Maybe you can find a charset that is simply a black circle, and set it up as "transparent" events to make it look like a black shadow on the ground? Maybe you can use blotches of the 'dark grass', even if the grass would really have been destroyed, it makes more sense than absolutely nothing.

Stop coming up with lame excuses for having an overly-simple and poorly-constructed map

Edit: find your own appropriate resources

How about scorch marks where the blasted tents used to be? Is that so much of a creative stretch..?

Graphical help.

So unless I played the first game, the map just looks stupid. Gotcha.

Also: it still makes no sense, with the campfire. Have you ever gone camping? Or seen a movie in which a group camped together, or the layout of a warcamp? The tents tend to be arranged around the fire, and also arranged in a more circular fashion so that there is a sort of 'wagon circle' feeling of security.

Not to mention bright, living wildflowers RIGHT NEXT TO the campfire; the campfire being built on top of green grass with no scorched earth nearby; etc.

The second, as Im sure a few men might assume you're going au natural. But you're right, it's not an issue. I guess i got too caught up in the "guile" in beguile and thought she should be meretricious.
My apologies.

No apology necessary, I appreciate any input, especially from a point of view I hadn't thought of previously! ;)

(edit: meretricious is SUCH A GOOD WORD)

Graphical help.

Those dark patches of grass don't make any sense whatsoever. It looks like maybe a road or a path? But why would the road be made of dark grass, and why would dark grass grow in strange lines? Also, it looks like the circle of logs forming a campfire is... ... across the 'stream' from the tents... so they set up tents, and then hop back and forth over the water to get to their campfire? I don't understand.

Also, "the fire's out." Fire*'*s. Like "The fire IS out."

So I guess wearing stockings = men think you're skanky? Even if they're something a court jester would wear, or as someone else said, Alt Alice in Wonderland? :p

Edit: Or you're saying the opposite. bare legs are more enticing. But this seems like such a nonissue.
