Some VX engine help.

Yet, wasn't there another screen shot of that same game that DIDN'T use the RTP?
I don't know because the game doesn't exist as project under your profile tab; was it rejected for BCB

What you basically said before is like saying this. Billy played a fighting game on a 2d plane called Street fighter. He is now 30. 10 Year old timmy plays a new version of Double Dragon. He calls it a fighting game.
You are really fond of inept analogies. I will leave you to sort out for yourself why this makes no sense

Some VX engine help.
author=Raekwonauthor=heisenmanHow could you suggest such a thing?! Enterrain is full of geni-
Or you could, you know, use things other than VX RTP.
Yeah, I would do that since I do that with almost every other game. Except the sad fact that many VX tiles I've seen don't look realitic at all in anyway. I think VX actually downgraded from XP.
Weren't you just asking for help with a fully RTP map?
Video game genres that will eventually die in the coming years.
Game genres are evolving, not dying. It's silly to say "PURE RPGS DON'T EXIST ANYMORE" because what constitutes, exactly, a "pure" RPG? The only definition you can give is the RPG Genre as you are familiar with it up to this point. 10 years from now someone else will be lamenting the 'death' of the RPG Genre, but they'll be talking about the Genre As They Know It.
Treasure chests!

May I point out that the newer version of "Legend of the Philosopher's Stone" did exactly that- or rather used preexisting sprites.
It just doesn't bother me at all to see chests, bags, or even a Pokemon "generic item sprite" lying around. If you're going to be so picky about realism, better not have random items lying around dungeons at all..

Man this site sure is literal! Lol perfect spelling isn't that big of a deal because not everybody in the world has perfect speech etiquette.
You're right, that's why commercial games are fraught with misspellings and grammar issues

Empty space is okay in a world map. I like people to feel like the "continents" are a little far apart. After all, Africa isn't nudged right up next to the US...
Note; You may or may not want to avert the "frozen north" trope. Not everything snowy is in the northern hemisphere of the world. Sometimes it's just from elevation. Even mountains bordering a desert could have snow if they were tall enough.

What games are you looking forward to?
EDIT: looking back, I cant believe how much time I spent on grinding various characters so I could job change them. Almost no quests, no goal, just pure grindfest. Poor Porings, so many fell victim to my new characters. Those were fun times, I actually have some fond memories of just grinding away with friends.
Agreed! RO's major problem was... it offered... NOTHING. Your only reward for grinding was retardedly rare drops, and HATS made from those drops.. :<
But the thought of RO2 excites me, as long as they add .. you know ... gameplay ..
