Consider using charsets to make this more... witchy. Like those rocks having animated sparkles on them, some pumpkins lying around...

The fonts are not all the same width and height.
Doesn't matter. Make the spacing and sizing compatible with the tallest and the widest fonts, and every other font will fit perfectly fine, and will still convey the same sizing (Current HP is larger than Max HP).

ARRANGING SPELL PROGRESSIONS. I have a bad habit of directly doing this in the DB.
I think I should break it off into notepad or whatever, and not use the "actual" names. Entangle -> AGI DOWN 1. Etc. SO I can draw up a smoother skill progression.

Make sure the scope of the animation ITSELF is set to "Global." Then it will not matter who your target is.

Well, JS is somewhat correct. A zoomed-out map shot like this is kinda ehhhh... especially when the map isn't all that impressive. Everything is very linear and squared-off... in real life, do roads ever run perfectly straight for that long? Also, try using Events set to "Above Hero" to layer your trees better... not a single one of them overlaps with the other.. and trees just don't grow individually perfectly spaced.

You need to put your "splash art" into Battle Animations. You cannot use the "Show Picture" functionality in combat, which sounds like what you want to do.

HP/AP graphic bars are something we talked about but didn't commit to. Perhaps we should go ahead and add them after all.
Nah just fix the spacing and sizing of the number display. Craze gave you a perfect example of how to pull it off without using a graphic bar. Make text larger where it should grab your eye, etc.

Practice practice practice. If you don't wanna practice, download a battlechara you like, and re-color it to be the right colors.
