I love you kentona.
Can I ask for a "Delete" column/checkbox in the Mailbox so we can delete emails en masse? :> It's annoying to individually open them and hit the delete button to pare down messages...

When you first mentioned it, Necrile, micromanaging the pollen in my flowers sounded like the most godawful boring thing ever.
Now that I see an interesting screenshot I kind of want to start cross-pollenating and making new plants
I like that the first shot seems to take place on a particular 'stage' and, cohesively with the second shot, I love the concept of planetoids/islets floating in space. It was a mildly interesting way for Kingdom Hearts/Disgaea/Makai Kingdom to present their various worlds but a very interesting way to present a time-and-resource-management setting like Harvest Moon! The second shot's layout draws me in and makes me want to find out what's going on with these people and islands in the middle of the galaxy.

It's nice to know people from a fantasy universe costly about fantasy characters from games from Earth/reality. I'd like to know how they got ahold of Japanese imports in another reality.
I would like to see your reaction to Shadow Hearts 2 taking you on a tour of "Europe"

Really? How? Because that in it's self being so close to April fools made it hard to believe.

Finally, a foreign RM site that's in a language I can actually half-decipher!
Yeah that Lunn one looks really cool. ("Ring of Darkness" is a perfectly acceptable translation, too, and it sounds spo~ooOO~ooky! You know, ring like a synonym for a circle, and not ring like "bague." Hee.) The concept is also really fascinating, as that mirrors some realistic mental disorders... I hope it gets translated or that I can understand a large enough portion of it; it sounds like it might have some great writing (despite the other three screenshots being more eye-catching due to color palette etc).

That's probably why he wasn't interested in having a conversation with you (and I would've probably reacted the same way). From an outside perspective, it did seem like you were looking for a fight, just sayin'.
no you're right, in general I seem to prefer an argument to a discussion without really realizing it (although I appreciate both a good argument and a good discussion).
what is Oniromancie? those are four VERY different screenshots that all look interesting!

You're right, I was disparaging about that, and I apologize. I just feel it would be a waste of my time if it were something I attempted to do, but if it's working for you and people are looking forward to your game, I whole-heartedly approve. A+ work
edit: woops vanit changed his comment
refresher: my opening comments were more dickish than critical

author=Vanitauthor=VersaliaI think this is exhibit A of why I will not be answering this question for you anymore. You're acting like a little kid saying "But why?" to every answer you're given, and for that reason I think it would be a waste of my time to continue to answer you when you've already made up your mind with your own answer.author=Neokif it's literally the same game...author=VersaliaI wouldn't play the ps version again, but I would play Vanit's version.
why exactly are we precisely replicating games that we could just play on the playstation, again...?
why
You're silly and obviously taking too much personal offense. Someone said "I wouldn't play X, but I would play Y." I asked why. This is not absurd or childish - this is asking someone to provide a reason for their statement. Someone gave me an answer - "because it's free." Well, I have a VALID RESPONSE - so is the other game, since I just downloaded it... for free.
Just because I asked - once - for a reason why you would pick copy A over identical copy B, and found a logical flaw in the reason I was given, doesn't mean I'm being childish. It means I'm being logical and realizing the fault in someone else's counterargument.
Hi there, I'm a discourse of dialogue in which someone poses a point and someone else explains why that point is invalid. My name is Discussion, how are you?
Cause it'll be 2D :)
See, this is a valid response. It points out that the two games are not, in fact, entirely identical. I don't really have an argument for that - this person prefers a 2d format. Done deal.
See how reasonable that is?
Quest Markers Above NPCs/Items
Calunio's advice is best as it is the most simple - just add it to a charset.
Sally has a quest for you. Make a second charset for Sally, with a ! over her head, or she's outlined in green, or whatever, and have a switch change her character graphic. BOOM!
The other options are also valid and work well, especially if you need it to be too far above their head (so that it breaks the charset size).
