author=Mr. Y link=topic=132.msg2085#msg2085 date=1184912501The intro doesn't have any backtracking, but Metroid intros rarely do. I'm pretty sure the hour of gametime that was split into two small areas isn't good evidence of what the game plays like.
I read on one Metroid Prime 3 feature on some gaming site that there's very little backtracking in the first few levels. I hope they're either wrong or that the trend doesn't stick with the whole game, I wouldn't want a Metroid game divided into distinct 'stages.'

Metal Gear Solid series
I tried to play MPO, but the controls absolutely drove me nuts. It sucks, because the game has a lot of style. I really enjoyed the cutscenes.

Also, brainwave. If we did comments for everything, it would be an interesting statistic to have posts and comments separate, so that you can see how many posts you've made (as always) and how many comments you've made. Some of those ratios would be pretty skewed, I'm sure. <.<
