What are you working on now?

Craze stop drolling up the RM2k3 war drums every chance you can. All of your games are ugly regardless of the engine anyway.
Low blow, really, low blow... I think Craze's games look decent, could be better, but he knows how to map.
post=139039post=139037I don't do this for me! I do it for the greater good.

Look, if you like VX, use VX, but if you like RM2K3, then use RM2K3, again, it's about personal preference. Okay, nuff said, done with going off topic, we can have a RM2K3, XP, VX war in a topic that's related to it.
Moving on...
I'm dabbling on a new concept right now, this is a ship to ship combat. Your in a ship looking through your tactical screen and are under attack by a lone raider in a fighter.

What are you working on now?
Are we still arguing over this? In the long run, does it really even matter? If someone is more comfortable with one system over another, and that's where they shine, they shouldn't be forced to choose a system someone else prefers. Take me for example, I know RM2K3 backward, forward, up, down, in, and out. I can make AWESOME games with RM2K3, but I can't claim the same for VX, sorry, just can't, tried the trial, just didn't like it. You, love VX, you know it about the same way I know my RM2K3, you can make AWESOME games with VX, right? (don't know any of your projects though, I'll check one or two out though)
And yes, until I see a game like Asendence (favorite RM Game ever!!!) or Ebon Scape pop up made in VX, I will defend RM2K3 graphically.

After mastering RPG Maker, which engine would you suggest using
post=138954post=138918People tend to recommend VX more because it performs much better than XP does. It's also equally capable in the graphics department, it just takes a little bit of extra effort to make maps look the same as they might in XP.post=138887True, scripting is awesome for VX, but I'd suggest XP over VX. Sure, for VX the Scripting is better, but for XP the graphics are better. So you get the best of both worlds, scripting, and graphics.
just use VX anyways. It's better.
Of course I'll still stick with the tried and true RM2K3, but that's my personal preference. OR, wait until VX has some better graphics to choose from.
Really, does it matter what system is better anyway? RM2K3 has graphics, XP is a great well rounded maker, and VX has great Scripting, they are all winners in my book. lol
You just restated my point. lol

VX, in my opinion, is the worst of the four main makers (2k, 2k3, XP, VX). Followed by 2k, then XP, then, the reigning king of awesoneness, 2K3.
I wouldn't say it's the worst at all, it's great for scripting, but again... not my first choice if I want to play around with graphics.

Yes, I posted it there. Since none of my projects had any traction there I was trying to see if posting a game in-development would catch that audience's interest.
It failed to do so.
(I also tried posting on HBGames and RMRK and a few others, too).
I gave up on RRR entirely after that and now spend all of my time here at RMN. But that's okay because RMN is the best.
Yep... same here, although I did get over 4000 downloads for Ebon Scape, and not a single F'n comment about the game itself. AWESOME! lol I still am a long time member of RRR, but I can't really say I'd like to submit my games there anymore. It's just too much of a hassle.
Dolla dolla bill, y'all.
Right now it's just in the concept phase, it's a new project that I'm rather excited about. The only information available right now is located here: http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/6209/
it's the best source of information until I get a game blog up and running. If you want to add any suggestions, that would be the best place for them as I'm trying to get feedback all the time.

W-why are you using 2k3
Don't you mean, Why would I not use RM2K3? XP and VX can't compare graphically, XP comes close... but a game built with XP still looks like an XP game 80% of the time.
hey fuck you
EDIT: Also, actual power/ease of use.
Look, I'm not bashing anyone's game, there are many XP games that look great... I know your a strong advocate for VX and that's cool. With that said, I simply can't see myself being forced to be limited in terms of graphics, I just can't. Maybe you can deal with it, and that's cool, the scripting is great for VX. However, if you understood me, you'd know that graphics are everything to me. Again, not trying to bash anyone, this is just a personal preference and a pet peeve for me.
And this is my latest project that is almost done:

Made in RM2K3. So you can bash RM2K3 all you want, but I'll stick with it, thank you.
EDIT: McGee, I will be posting more resources here soon.
