EXP and leveling rate in RM2k3
You can... you'd need to do math here, but RM2K3's set up for full customization for leveling. As for how this would be done... again, you need to do the math.
I sometimes don't even use exp for leveling, opting more for a more richer level up system. Basically, if you defeat a boss you get points that you can use to beef up your character. For example, I downed a space frigate, I get 5 points that I can use to improve any of my stats, I need to be careful though and spend wisely, because I don't get more points till I kill something big, or fight a boss. PLUS, leveling my stats gets more expensive each time I use my points, so I need to keep this in my mind. Thats how I do it, this takes a bit of eventing though, so keep this in mind before attempting this.

To protect or not to protect, that is the question!
Now there are projects out there, and I'm not going to name any names, (*sneeze*Laxiuspower*sneeze*) that seem to try to protect resources, that obviously were not built by them in any way shape or form. My question is, do you do this, and more importantly, why?
Projects like this tend to try to set folders to hidden, or set the resource to an xyz (which can easily be undone btw.) for terms of trying to protect the work. Now, if it was your own genuine work that you wanted to protect, I'd respect and understand that. Though with the aforementioned project above, most if not all of the resources, were not theirs at all, yet they chose to hide the resources.... It just seems out of whack to me.

Only thing I can suggest is smaller maps or adding more 'stuff' to them to help fill out the openness.
Yeah... if your new into VX its kinda hard to map because your learning how to map with a new tileset... then again... the RTP doesn't offer much though.
Still, projects like these help us learn and grow as a community.

Meh, my game already got a decent review over at RRR. At this point in it's development, I'm not too big on reviews anymore, it's almost completed and I want to move on to the next project. Though if you'd like, I'm always looking for feedback, even a comment or two can help big. (If you do check out Ebon Scape, I'm already working on spelling and grammar for the final version)
What are you working on now?
post=139120post=139093DBS = no good. I don't know why having the trouble of making such elaborate custom graphics and innovative visuals if you're using an overused default system.
No, it is the standard RM2K3 Battle system, I'm saying I don't want it to LOOK like the standard RM2K3 Battle system. So far, everything except the commands look like they blend in well, thus giving off the illusion that it's not the standard RM2K3 battle system.
Well, because I can do one of two things, I can attempt to make a CBS, pull out what's left of my hair, fail and dump the project, OR, I can stick with the regular system at hand. I may be great with RM2K3, but no matter what, I could never figure out how to make a CBS. I've tried hundreds of times, downloaded god knows... how many tutorials, but I just could never make one. This way is faster, more accurate, easier to work with, and will look like a CBS to some degree. So to sum it up, why build a CBS, when you can make something that LOOKS like a CBS, with half the hassle?
This just saves a huge amount of time for me anyway, considering that I'm still not done with Navigation yet. Good news is that I might be finally done phase 2 Navigation by Thursday. YAY!!!
Legend of Denadel 2k3
I know this is RTP, but he makes it look sexy, and anyone that can make RM2K3 RTP sexy, is a mapping god. I can't wait to see a download for this project, SUBSCRIBED!
