Just a guy who loves rpg's. Thanks to some serious encouragement from several new friends and the community at large, I was able to complete one of my own. Game making is my favorite hobby, so you can expect more games on the way. Play on fellow gamers, play on!

Ha! Well I'm sure part of the reason you'd like the villains to win is because you've had time to get attached to them. Who knows, by the time the final battle comes around, you may have grown attached to the heroes as well. It's true that the villains winning would mean freedom for the demons and dark mages, but it would also mean oppression and/or enslavement for everyone else. So yeah, kind of a trade off.
I'm not going to try and estimate a date because I'm not very good at it and I don't know what life is going to throw at me between now and then. I will say that the sequel is very ambitious and will hopefully be worth the wait. I haven't mentioned this yet, but there will be some alternate endings depending on whether you win or lose certain important battles. You'll know them when you see them.

What's that you say? You thought the ending wasn't satisfying you say? Well good, because it's all part of my diabolical plan. You see, Umbral Soul is only the first half of a two part story; the first where you play as the villains rising to power, and the second where you play as the heroes trying to undo everything they've done. Every last character in this game will make a return in the next, but this time they will be your enemies. As for which side prevails...well, you'll just have to see for yourself!
Sullivan Manor can't be entered, but it needed to be in this game in order to set up one of the story arcs that takes place in the sequel. Likewise, the little girl can't be cured, and her story doesn't conclude until the next game. A lot of the stories in this game were meant to be left unfinished so they could be wrapped up later. Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts, jay. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and hope you'll enjoy my future projects just as much.
(P.S. Damien was my favorite too.)
Edit: What? You mean I didn't even have to bother typing all that? dasgibtesnet, I'm considering hiring you for tech support. I can pay you 1 and 1/2 fig newtons an hour.

Yeah that's most definitely a bug, you're not supposed to be able to teleport in the crystal dungeon. If I remember correctly the issue was that the gloom crystals in that dungeon would remove the state that seals Abyssal Portal when it you use them.
The events that forcibly change your party add or remove party members based on who you had with you when they're triggered, so I don't think there's a way to get rid of that extra member. If you have a previous save, from before you added them, I'd suggest starting from that point. If you'd prefer, I can give you my email so you can send me your save file and I can manually remove them.

Yo oskan, it's been a while man! The last update I did was quite a while ago, and just tweaked some of the movesets a bit while fixing some glitches. Sadly, the current upload is still plagued by the "thier" scourge, but I'm pretty sure I got them all, so after the next update I should finally be rid of them. Yeesh, you know sometimes I regret making a game with 2000 events with 7+ pages each. Oh woe is me.
I don't know if I told you this, but the next update is going to be a pretty big one. There will be a new campaign where you play as Serene's party, some adjustments made to the villains' movesets, a bunch of new scenarios, some modifications to the mapping, and some other snazzy bells and whistles. As for Luminous Soul, when I get something worth playing done, I'll be sure to let you know. Thanks for the assist man.

Some anti-viruses flag rpg maker vx ace exe's as false positives, but there's nothing to worry about. I've tested it, re-tested it, double tested it, and even super-dee-duper tested it, and I can assure you it's perfectly clean.
Umbral Soul
I can answer that for you. It's pretty spoilery, so if you really want to know, send me an email and I'll send you a response.

yea i missed the demon maids one and the insatiable hunger...
also, if there was a way to continue playing the game after the end boss. ie: we can still terrorize the ppls that would add stat points to our team. or a extra dungeon for hign lvl only like lvl80+ or something....
Spoilers, because...uh, spoilers.
Sounds like you must've missed the vampire sidequest then. That one's linked to a few other sidequests. Assuming you have a save file before you entered the capital, you should still be able to complete them. When Grelda disappears from Pandora's room, talk to Narissa with Azrielle in your party to start the vampire questline. You'll want to make sure you talk to her again before you finish this sidequest. Once you've completed the quest, talk to the singing demon in the orb room inside the vampire castle to start another sidequest. After you've saved Grelda, talk to her in Pandora's room to start another sidequest. Doing all this should net you the missing scenarios.
As for a postgame, I had thought of doing that, but there were a few issues that changed my mind. At the end of the game, everyone in Pandora's party becomes boss tier, possessing new overpowered skills that I was planning on keeping a surprise until the sequel. For instance, Pandora can use multiple summons at once instead of just one at a time. I can't begin to imagine how I would event that in, and there would be no character left in the game short of Lumielle herself that would be able to challenge all the acolytes at once due to how stupidly OP they become. I'm not even talking about "ha ha ha you can't hurt me" level OP. I'm talking "everything on screen dies in one turn" level OP. The main reason I decided against it though, is because I wanted the player to see how Pandora's party's skills have evolved since their power boost in order to emphasize how utterly, hopelessly outclassed the heroes are.

Whoa, done already? That's pretty impressive! The mansion doesn't actually play a role in this game, but it needed to be there in preparation for the sequel. All the scenarios in Pandora's room are unlockable, you just need to do certain things to unlock them such as talking to certain people or completing certain sidequests. If you're curious you can always watch HawkZombie's playthrough on youtube, as he managed to unlock all the scenarios.

Yeah, at this point we've all been pretty much brainwashed into rooting for the good guys, although in this case both the protagonists and antagonists are in the wrong, so I guess you should root for whoever you like more. Ha! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it's always great to hear when someone's had a good time.
