NOBODY PANIC, I'M STILL ALIVE! Welcome my friends, to the mother of all late comments. Thank you for coming. The tickets were free, so if you paid anything for them, you've been scammed. I will of course address everyone's comments individually.

A_Tomio- Hey hey, congrats on beating the game! Thirty hours, you say? I'm willing to bet you absolutely obliterated the final boss. I was level 20 when I did it as a point of reference. You may be pleased to hear that I've been buffing a lot of the bosses for the ultimate edition, but not so much as to make them too overwhelming. To tell you the truth, I would've loved to make a postgame, but it would've been difficult to make appropriate movesets and enemies considering where the story ends. Glad to hear you enjoyed it though! The next version will have more content, so hopefully you'll enjoy it even more.

Tacodie- Yo Tac, sorry for the insanely late reply, but if by chance your interest isn't a shambling zombie of its former self, I'd be happy to send you the answers you're looking for through your inbox. Although just a heads up, it might spoil some things about the sequel for you, as all your questions will be answered there. I will say however, that the ultimate edition and Luminous have been developed side by side, though I've been more focused on the ultimate edition for a while now. I have a tendency to be a bit overambitious, but hopefully it'll end up paying off. Ultimate is definitely being released before Luminous though.

scourge and ignotop- Thanks for your concern guys, and I'm sorry if I made you worry. My health...honestly could be better, but I'm not in danger of croaking or anything. Been getting some pretty bad side effects from dialysis but nothing life threatening. Also been working on getting a new kidney and having surgery on my legs to correct their blood flow, so if all that happens I'll be good as new.

I'd like to apologize to everyone for my long bout of silence, but I can assure you you're all going to be stuck with me for a long time to come. As always, thanks so much for your patience, kind words and continued interest in the game. I've been going through a very difficult time in my life for what's going on three years now, what with the medical issues, but you guys have brought me a lot of joy in spite of it, and I want you to know I'll always be grateful. Thanks a million, peeps!

Pfft, you're no idiot. Azrielle should be in his throneroom. The only thing I can think of that might interfere with him joining you is if you managed to glitch Gryger into your party too early.

Umbral Soul

SHUSH SOMBER! Pay no attention to the crazy man, folks! Nothing to see here.

Umbral Soul

Of course! I'm thrilled you're still interested in the game and would be happy to share the additions I've been making. No secrets here. Back in the day they used to call me Transparencyman Zero.

I'll start off with a feature I think you'll like, since you brought up the idea of more dialogue for the summons. Whereas Lanith was previously the only one who made a comment during major boss battles, now all talking summons do the same. Also, talking characters now make noise when taking damage, or if they're in the party when you flee from battle or win a battle. It's a little thing, but I think it's added a little more personality to the game.

Apart from the obvious bug and spelling fixes, I've also added a few quality-of-life improvements. Enemies drop more items that can be sold at shops, allowing you to afford more Demon's Draughts to level your summons faster. Also, Demon's Draughts and Drafts can be used back to back instead of one at a time. I have my friend to thank for showing me how to do that.

I've also tweaked a bunch of the attacks to make them more enjoyable to use. For instance, Pandora's healing spell has a new animation and Lanith's Soul Stealing Kiss no longer has a TP cost. She also starts out at a higher level, so she's more useful from the start.

More sidequests and scenarios have been added as well, and when I say sidequests I don't mean kill 10 bats. The sidequests have their own respective bosses and scenarios attached to them, and will hopefully flesh out some of the characters' backstories.

In addition to that, I've been adding a new campaign where you play as Serene's party that features new enemies, attacks, dungeons and bosses. I've improved the facesets of a few characters like Rozalin, Pandora's mother, and Narissa, and have redone some of the maps that I wasn't all that happy with.

So yeah, it's a lot of stuff but I think it'll be worth the effort in the end. I'm certainly open to suggestions, so feel free to let loose if you'd like to.

Yo peeps, sorry for the stupidly late reply! Development is going well and I'll do my best to finish things up as soon as possible so you can enjoy it. I just want to improve the game enough to warrant another playthrough for those who have already beaten it. As always, thanks for the support guys!

Yo Ivellios! Man, talk about a blast from the past. Hope you've been well, bud. I'm glad I was able to make something that brought you so much enjoyment. I still flip out a little when people tell me how much they've enjoyed the game. It's nuts!

As for me, I went to the doctor just yesterday and he said he's surprised by how quickly I'm recovering. I'm finally home now after a month of recovering, and my life is slowly getting back to normal. Thanks for the encouragement, I feel better now than I have in a long time.

I'm trying my best to make the ultimate edition live up to everyone's expectations, taking feedback into consideration and eliminating Umbral's weaker points. Hopefully it'll be even more fun than the first time you played.

Umbral Soul

Yo EvilP, thanks for the bug report. You'll be happy to know that both of the bugs you mentioned have been cleaned up for the ultimate edition. I've also fixed the spelling errors and added a bunch of new content as well. Enemies will give way more drops, which will allow you to buy more demon's draughts, causing your summons to level much faster. A few of the summons that couldn't evolve before now have a new form, and a new summon is being added to the game. Plus there will be many more scenarios to unlock during your journey.

Thanks so much for playing and sharing your thoughts, I hope you like the ultimate edition even more!

Umbral Soul

Thanks! I've been fixing the typos so the ultimate edition will be more enjoyable to read. I'm inclined to agree with you, Marrend. I'm just glad the whole ordeal is over. If there's anything I learned, it's that you can never predict what life is going to throw at you next.

Umbral Soul

Ha! Hey thanks a lot. I wish you and your team all the best, and look forward to seeing how your game turns out. And uh...when you guys become rich and famous, remember who your friends are, (wink wink).

Heyo Restia! So you're making a game yourself eh? That's gotta be exciting. All the mapping, writing, proofreading, eventing and resource selection was done by me, though if I could go back in time I would've had someone else look things over in order to catch glitches and whatnot. What I didn't do however, was write any of the scripts. At most I ended up modifying a few of them to get them working the way I liked. I didn't create any of the art either, rather I took preexisting images and modified them to my liking. Gimp is seriously my best friend.

I wasn't really concerned about copyright which is why I grabbed a lot of stuff from all over, as I was just looking to make an enjoyable game for fun. That being said, sorry, I don't have any knowledge of scripting or drawing to speak of, but if you're looking to enhance an image I'm your man. Let me know if you need anything specific, and good luck with your game.
