Umbral Soul
Nah man, you didn't push me, I pushed myself. I think I bit off more than I could chew at once, and didn't account for how real life's various twists and turns would factor into my schedule. I was unemployed when I made Umbral Soul, so I had tons of free time where I could squirrel away an entire afternoon just trying to fix a single glitch, but now that I'm back in the workforce, life's kicking my butt pretty hard. It's just so frustrating when you have people counting on you but you can't meet their expectations as soon as you'd like. It's like a cloud of guilt that hovers around you wherever you go.
And hey, don't go selling yourself short! I know you spent a lot of time working on that amazing art, so I want to make something that's worthy of showcasing it. I can still get things done, it just always takes longer than I expect. Wheelman's no quitter, you can believe that! What I start, I finish.

Umbral Soul Review
What's this? Two reviews back to back? Wait a second, am I on that tv show where they play elaborate pranks on random strangers? What was it called? Punked? Am I being punked right now?
Ah yes, I remember you mentioning posting a review a while back Raven. I also remember being terrified of your impending judgement. After a while, I figured you had seen that the game had already received a bajillion (clearly a real number) reviews, and decided to change your mind. Now that the review's finally here, I'm sure glad you didn't!
Becoming jaded and/or disillusioned with fantasy rpg's over time is perfectly natural. Once you've spent a certain number of years playing the same genre, the magic and wonder you once felt as a sparkle-eyed child fade a bit. I don't think I've reached that point just yet since I haven't played as many games as the average gamer, but I can certainly understand how people end up falling out of love with certain genres. I'm glad that you've managed to reclaim a bit of that joy, and humbled that I could be a part of that process.
I'm even happier to hear that you've come to realize that rpg maker has an immense amount of potential. I don't know if you've messed with it yourself, but I'd suggest giving it a try. There's a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get over the hump, you can have a lot of fun bringing the stories in your head to life. Just be prepared to dish out a lot of time if you do decide to get into it. Thank you for the review, and don't worry, Umbral Soul was meant to be half of a bigger story, so there will indeed be a sequel.

Umbral Soul Review
Hello, Hawk. If you've read any of my reactions to the previous reviews, you're probably expecting me to flip out and go on a long-winded rant about how happy I am. "I can't believe this", "I never thought anyone would like the game this much", ect. ect. yaddah yaddah yaddah. The thing is, I've done that twelve times already, so I'm going to try something different. This time, I'm going to talk about you!
I remember reading your review for Eternal Twilight a couple months back. Based on your review, it sounded like the game had a lot of great features, so I decided to give it a whirl. I had a great time with it for the most part (although some of those bosses can go die in a fire) but by the time I had gotten to the final dungeon I was a little burnt out, so I decided to watch you finish the game instead. What I saw was incredibly entertaining, thanks in no small part to those goofballs in your chat, and from then on I started watching your videos.
What I like about your let's plays is the fact that you actually try to have fun when you play, and don't try to be overly negative or nitpicky for the sake of entertainment. You have a good time, and when I see that, it feels like I'm having a good time with you. When I learned that you were doing a let's play of Umbral Soul, I was pretty terrified, but your journey through the game was actually a joy to behold. You made some great points about what could be improved, and I practically died laughing when crimson was leading you all over the place trying to unlock everything. No one knows the game better than I do, so you can leave writing that walkthrough to ol' Wheelman.
I'd like to thank you for being such a credit to the rpg maker community by playing people's games and providing feedback in such a kind manner. We hobbyists pour work, time and love into our games, and sometimes our only reward is the player's enjoyment. Advice and criticism are important and all, but when you see a player enjoy a battle, go "aww" at a mushy cutscene, or laugh at one of your stupid jokes, it gives you a sense of fulfilment that spurs you to keep going. Thank you for your review, and all that you do. Keep up the good work, and know that I'll be watching!
P.S. Cynder, if you happen to be reading this, thank you for your kind comments as well. I'm glad you had a good time.

Umbral Soul
Right now I'm scrambling to get the collab game done, while dealing with my job and the whole Christmas rush. Man oh man, things always seem to take more time than I think they will. I'm still plenty motivated, so no need to worry about that, I just wish there were more of me so I could do all the things I want at once.
Progress is going well, but every time I check a mark off something I want to add or improve in Umbral Soul, I end up wanting to do something else too. For instance, I heard that a walkthrough would be useful, so one of those is coming. The mapping could do with some spit and polish too, so there's that. And yeah, you're stuck playing as a group of good guys in the next game, but they aren't exactly conventional group of heroes, and they don't always play nice with one another. Part of what I enjoy about being a villain is the fact that it makes you feel powerful, so I'm trying to incorporate that feeling into the heroes movesets as well. Only thing is, you'll be going up against enemies that feel even more powerful than you are, to the point that it feels like you're fighting titans and demi-gods. The sequel will feature scenarios just like the original, and our heroes will come in contact with the entire cast of the previous game at some point in their journey.
All in all, I'm a little stressed, but I'm still feeling pretty good. Thanks for the encouragement, ghostbro!

Character introduction: Shatter
I'm getting more of a "creepy stalker peeking out from behind the corner of an alleyway" kind of vibe.
I feel like Shatter's personality can be summed up as follows.

Character introduction: Agdistis
I must agree it's quite the winning smile. It's the kind of smile that says, "I'm going to eat you as soon as you come close enough."
