RPG 20XX Engine
It currently has the revert to last saved state button for undoing stuff. It had a history system that was really glitchy so I had it disabled for now, but at some point I do need to bring it back.

I think I'll shake the dust off and see where we are. It looks like half the built-in battle system is left to go and the quest/journal system.
I'll have to leave the pages and pages of small feedback and requests in hiatus (most are complaints about the editor anyways) and just focus on the remaining core features. I do not know if I will have the time to address all those small issues, I mostly feel like I sort of stopped short of the finish line here.
Its a good thing I decided to use two Xs

I don't know when or if it will leave hiatus, I don't have time for large side projects anymore like I used to in 2010. I won't even be able to re-evaluate the status of this project until after I finish LandTraveller, which has a good two years left of its main development cycle or more.

You can create multiple worlds and newer characters. Are you trying out the 2016 demo or the actual game? To delete characters and worlds you might not want anymore, the default key is probably C (depending on the version you're playing). You should get a confirmation if you want to delete something and then you can remove it from the list after that.

If the program crashed, then the config files and stuff are probably corrupted. To perform a factory reset, try going to C:\Users\<Your Name>\AppData\Roaming\rpg20xx and deleting it. Then re-open the editor and then re-open your project.
RPG20XX was designed to make it so you can event script your own battle system. The default battle system and the built-in quest system are the things not yet complete. The engine is open source and licensed under the MIT license, so it is also possible to edit the source code to customize the engine using a license that is compatible with stuff like Steam.

Yes, if you're willing to script your own battle system. There's a game elsewhere on this site called Ruby Wolf where I did that in about a week or so for a game-making event.

By which I mean, can I make a bug-free game with it?
There is no such thing as a bug-free game, with any engine.

It might make sense for crafting to work that way, but from a design standpoint, it's not fun. Crafting is suppose to be a way for player to get the tools they need to play the game, not another way to have them put more playtime in.
Crafting works this way because modding your weapons will occur at this one intermediate step, the weapon mods just aren't in yet.
