Asking for donations
No. I did not use any commercial resources in my game. All of the materials I used are free. The only scripts that I've used in the game are Yanfly's, ModernAlgebra, GreatRedSpirit (who made them for me), and Zeriab (the only person who I am unsure about the script's status for usage, and who I PMed after this fiasco).
I am not charging any money for my game.
All graphics are either REFMAP, mines/boobles/oceanness.
The only thing in this whole game that is commercial is this Suikoden song, which is a joke I don't even know if I am going to keep.
Asides from that one song, as far as I know, everything I am using is public domain besides one facking caterpillar script.

Asking for donations
I am entirely fine if I don't make the money up, but considering how my daily budget it, I don't think it is a problem for me to try. Even if I couldn't make any of the money back, I don't wouldn't change anything.
Either way, I love this hobby for what it is, and I don't mind sacrificing a bit of cash to make something out of it.
Just understand I am not asking for donations so I can eat a steak tonight. :<

EDIT: Oh no. I do care. I actually felt horrible and guilty reading your post (I need balls of steel), but I stand by my decision to do what I need to do because that's a lot of cash that I spent for this and I need to make up for it.

Idk. I just throw whatever. For facesets and cutscenes, I think I spend 240 dollars alone? Luckily I have someone helping me pay off for sprites and battle backgrounds.
I am really not that interested in making a profit, even if I did, I'd just use it for art in future games. I don't find myself morally reprehensible for trying to make up for some money I spent for games when I am living off of the lowest end of the college student spectrum.
I'd feel bad anyways if I had the artist do everything for free 'cause they have to eat, too.

I don't even care about profits, I am just trying to make up for the hundreds of bucks I spent on various artwork. :| Yes, I did spend that much. Please don't laugh.

You should just rename the characters. Alfred can become... er... Balfred. And Arthur can become ... ... Well, it might be more work than it's worth.
Where are the battle videos?
I just started working on this game for three months. :| I even said that I had to scrap the original design of the game thanks to a lot of team turmoil.
And donations aren't commercial.
