YEASTER'S PROFILE

Hi! Thank you for peeping at my profile.

I like making modern-themed games. My first game, Onyx, was made in 2006, when I was a senior in high school. So it's pretty ROUGH, but people seem to like it? Total Chaos is my personal favorite, but it has some, erm, issues, too. Mystery Man Zero is coming you guys, I haven't forgotten about it. A full-game will come out even if it takes 10 years. Oh gosh, I hope it doesn't take that long, but you get what I'm saying, right?

Right now, I am also working on A Nightmare in Sunnydale, a horror genre mesh-up fangame, if you will. I also like playing games. Actually, playing RPGM games is legit one of my favorite pastimes. *insert smiley here*

When I can fit it in, I do a little bit of Gatekeeper as well, a sci-fi fantasy about a team of god-lite forces, Gatekeepers, who have to protect the dying Earth from forces they don't even know about.

If thou think they can take it, download some of my stuff!

Level 17-18 is supposed to be a pretty decent level when you're fighting Zoraina. What characters are you using?

ETA:

Level 17 is a GREAT level to be at, actually. The recommended level is only 13-15. You should be winning!!

Secondly, I would suggest inserting Tempest in your party. Since she is Proto-elemental, many of Zoraina's moves won't hurt her at all. All you'll have to worry about is Wing Flap, which will probably knock her out if she's not defending. She won't be able to do much when Z transforms, so use her to support the other characters by healing their MP before it runs out.

If you're using Jade and have her leveled up to 14 or so, her "Darkness" spell will kick every square inch of its ass in Z's third form, and she'll always be the first one to go.

Mary is essential. When Z transforms, you'll need her casting Pleasant Water or Pure Water EVERY SINGLE ROUND, regardless of whether you think you'll need it or not. That way when Z casts a hit-all move, your characters will be fully healed right after it. Since Chad/Tari/Tempest/Vernon won't have much to do when Z transforms, use them to keep Mary's MP above 31 at all times. Otherwise, have them defend.

If you're using Royle, have him spam his Lightening moves.

Whenever a character doesn't have much to do, have them defend.

I hope that helps!! Let me know how it goes.

Hope you like it!!

ONYX 2: Clinging Soul

Glad you enjoyed it. :) Who did you use as your main party?

ONYX 2: Clinging Soul

Of course you can! =)

ONYX 2: Clinging Soul

That's odd. It worked for me. Are you sure you approached this mirror?

Try again the next you get the helicopter. Besides, chances are, at that stage in the game, Hyde Adelle would have been waaaaay to powerful. It's best to fight him a bit later. The 50s is a good level to take him on.

ONYX 2: Clinging Soul

Are you at The Black Tower? That's one of the hardest dungeons in the game, and the enemies there use "Stop" a lot. There are accessories that protect against Stopped, but you don't get them until a little bit later.

The thing with Onyx 2 is that you can wipe out most enemies in little time... but they can do the same to you if you let them. So you have to strike hard and fast. Figure out who is weak against what and pummel them with your best moves. Hold nothing back, and don't be afraid to use items. Treat every battle as though you were fighting a boss. That's the kind of intensity you have to bring to just about every fight.

As for Mepori... you should be able to fight the bad guy any time! Go the center stained window and click enter, see if that works. I'll look into it when I get home.

The Mepori Church fight is assessable just before entering the Onyx Cave.

ONYX 2: Clinging Soul

Nope. Onyx 1 was my first completed game. I made it from the remains of a game I was working on called Proto Star. It was, um, less than a stellar. lol

Total Chaos did come before Onyx 2, tho.

ONYX 2: Clinging Soul

Yeah, Onyx 2 is a direct continuation of the first game. I've actually been playing through the Onyx games myself lately for shits and giggles/inspiration. I realize now, however, that making Onyx 2's story so heavily dependent on Onyx 1 was probably a mistake. I really should have made both games stand-alone. I don't know, I guess I was just being lazy back then. heh

My next game is A Nightmare in Sunnydale, which is coming. I'm writing the game out first, and then I'm just going to copy and paste into the program (which is also what I'm doing with Gatekeeper). Gatekeeper will follow, and after that, I'm totally done. haha I've actually been working on other projects of mine, and I've only recently gotten back into the RPGM scene because my schedule during the week has cleared up a bit (or maybe I've just gotten better at managing my time, who knows!).

ONYX 2: Clinging Soul

Okay... yeah, let me know what happens. If it happens again (which I hope it doesn't!!) try to take a screencap of the error msg.
