YEASTER'S PROFILE

Hi! Thank you for peeping at my profile.

I like making modern-themed games. My first game, Onyx, was made in 2006, when I was a senior in high school. So it's pretty ROUGH, but people seem to like it? Total Chaos is my personal favorite, but it has some, erm, issues, too. Mystery Man Zero is coming you guys, I haven't forgotten about it. A full-game will come out even if it takes 10 years. Oh gosh, I hope it doesn't take that long, but you get what I'm saying, right?

Right now, I am also working on A Nightmare in Sunnydale, a horror genre mesh-up fangame, if you will. I also like playing games. Actually, playing RPGM games is legit one of my favorite pastimes. *insert smiley here*

When I can fit it in, I do a little bit of Gatekeeper as well, a sci-fi fantasy about a team of god-lite forces, Gatekeepers, who have to protect the dying Earth from forces they don't even know about.

If thou think they can take it, download some of my stuff!

I love fried chicken and watermelon and I AIN'T AFRAID TO SAY IT

That's the blackest thing about me and I cherish it with everything I have

TOTAL CHAOS

yeah, you do that.

lol Just kidding. It's not as 'polished' (comparatively speaking) as Complete Chaos, but it's very beatable.

However, being that this is Shin Megami Tensei inspired, but prepared for f-bombs, looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong hallways and just craziness in general. This game is old, but it will always be my favorite ^_^

What are you working on now?

Some cutscenes for MMZ. I'm finishing up the first one in a whole year, yay! =D

I think progress from here on out will be pretty consistent.

Players x Experts - Our attitude on playing games

There likely will be SOMEONE in the world who will think his games are cool because they are just weird themselves but for the most part, people usually don't like them.

Dooms 3, I thought, was genuinely good. It told a creepy story and kept me interested. Dooms 4 could've been sooooooooooo much better, but somewhere along the line he dropped the ball (and it was too short). I played Dooms 2 and it was just 'okay' to me.

Then again, maybe I'm fucked in the head. lol I haven't played his other stuff, though.

Why aren't there more tutorials on the basics?

Personally, I think the idea is awesome and it's great that it has more people doing stuff... but I suppose what may have upset some people earlier was simply the attitude. Reading through the thread myself, tbh I didn't think the initial hostility was all that necessary, considering there is plenty of help out there that exists for beginners. When I bought the PS1 game (at 12/13), all I had was the instruction book.

But yeah, having extra resources available won't hurt.

Deckiller's Let's Try Thread

I'm really enjoying the videos so far. You raised a lot of good points that I didn't even think about it, as well as catching small mistakes that I overlooked.

Players x Experts - Our attitude on playing games

That's a very good point and I'm on the same boat. Granted, disappointments happen, but for most the part, I am very good at choosing games that I know I'm going to enjoy.

I also don't judge games by comparing them to others, but rather how well they executed what they intended to do.

Mystery Man Zero

I'm going to start working on this game again after I finish up with this project I'm doing (which will be finished within the next hour or so =P)

I didn't expect the feedback to be so positive. It's made me want to give this game a little more depth than what was originally planned (which was none)
