Hi! Thank you for peeping at my profile.
I like making modern-themed games. My first game, Onyx, was made in 2006, when I was a senior in high school. So it's pretty ROUGH, but people seem to like it? Total Chaos is my personal favorite, but it has some, erm, issues, too. Mystery Man Zero is coming you guys, I haven't forgotten about it. A full-game will come out even if it takes 10 years. Oh gosh, I hope it doesn't take that long, but you get what I'm saying, right?
Right now, I am also working on A Nightmare in Sunnydale, a horror genre mesh-up fangame, if you will. I also like playing games. Actually, playing RPGM games is legit one of my favorite pastimes. *insert smiley here*
When I can fit it in, I do a little bit of Gatekeeper as well, a sci-fi fantasy about a team of god-lite forces, Gatekeepers, who have to protect the dying Earth from forces they don't even know about.

I just assumed WIP was applying the update and went on with my life like a normal person.
That''s what I thought too. I had no idea that all of this other stuff was going on, though.
In any case, I hope the issues get straightened out!
Koudelka
OH MY GOD THIS GAME IS SO AMAZING!!!
The hate that it gets literally rips my soul apart. Koudelka (the character) was badass and the game was good and creepy. When I heard that Shadow Hearts was a continuation of Koudelka, my heart jumped and I bought it the first chance I could.
I really didn't have a problem with Kou's battle system. Everything else was so good I just didn't care about it.

Controversy: Which FF game ruined the series?
If I'm going to be honest, I don't think there's anything particularly "wrong" with the series. Granted, I haven't played any of the games prior to part IV, I didn't really enjoy parts V and XII, and I haven't played XIII, but I do think the games (that I played) were excellent, top-of-the-line stuff. The games have generally remained relevantly consistent quality-wise. I may not have agreed with all of their stylistic choices, but I wouldn't call any of them "bad" games. The two that I didn't like weren't bad, they just weren't my type of games.
However, my tastes have changed and I'm drown to games that are a little less conventional and more abstract (thanks a lot MegaTen). Final Fantasy doesn't really give me what I want anymore, but that doesn't have much to do with the games themselves. It's just that my interests have changed.
That said, parts IV, VII and VIII especially are among my favo RPGs ever.

Worst videogame character.
I'm not the type who despises and bashes anything and everything dealing with Final Fantasy, but Fran really was a horrible character. She looked horrible, she sounded horrible, she did nothing and was a complete and utter boring waste of piece. No redeemable qualities.
I guess she was the "eye candy"...but I need just a little bit more from VG characters other than contrived slut-gearespecially since I can easily find myself a real-life whore.
Rikku and Yuna were my favorite characters, haha.
Well, actually, I genuinely liked Rikku. Yuna, on the other hand... had a voice actress so craptastic it was hilarious. Easily the funniest character in the game.

As far as a worst character, not really sure who I'd pick. I tend to at least tolerate most characters. Though Yuna and Rikku both made me seriously eye the mute button for almost the entirety of FFX and the first half-hour of X-2 (before I quit the game in disgust).

...holy shit, there are people who pay for RPG Maker?
If you a) are using the program and b) have a job, why not support Enterbrain? I had planned to buy VX even before my trail expired.
I can't speak for everyone else, but I feel like I've gotten my money's worth.

IT'S ALL ABOUT DEM MIND GAMES
I really wish there was more of this nowadays. The last time I felt something like this was in Tales of The Abyss on my first playthrough in the Largo, Legretta, and Arietta boss battle. We were on multiplayer and we were all down to no life. I was about ready to go 'FFFFFFF NOT ANOTHER LOSS!' and then bam, Mystic Arte, boss battle won. It may sound ridiculous but we actually celebrated like we just saved the world at that moment.
I went through roughly the same thing in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne when fighting Lucifer.
45 minutes had passed, I had run out of healing items, my demons were low on MP...the next round would've surely had been the end of us. As a last ditch effort, I had the MC hit the boss with a physical attack and viola, he died.
I'm not really sure what the purpose of this post was.
