International Contest?

Well, much to my own disappointment the people at Imaginarium don't seem very interested about this, I guess an International contest is something way out of their comfort zone or whatever. (...)

There are others Spanish rm communities but I wouldn't put much more faith in them, at least not until there is a solid set of rules and stuff, and maybe if some of you guys go there and speak to them, since I have the feeling I'm not very much loved at home anyway, Heh; ...I can help you translate into spanish anything you want.

As for what I've seen discussed in the thread so far... I have nothing against a Valentine's day theme and deadline, but I have my worries about if a month or so is gonna be enough time, I mean, is hard to convey meaning without words, so the need for extra graphics and overall planning, will probably take more time than for an average short game... so maybe, three months?

Also I'm curious about which rpg maker is going to be used? or is gonna be up to every team to decide?

Leo & Leah: A First Look (video)

Very nice intro! ...just a couple of things I didn't quite like: the speed of events seems rather slow at times, you'd imagine that birds flying through the sky or lions running by should be faster and graceful. Also some sounds were kind of odd, the "eagles" (birds?) coming out of the bushes, and the "screaming woman" (monkeys) coming out of the cave are some examples I can think of.

As for the music, I really like the tracks you choose, specially the battle theme, that's from Wild Arms, right?

How is that last screen bad? Sure, it could be improved, but is far from mediocre.

International Contest?

This sounds rather cool, I'm curious about this... well, I'm not the kind who likes making short games for contests and stuff, (too lazy) but incidentally, my fellas over at Imaginarium (spanish rm community) love doing exactly that, in fact there is already a sort of christmas contest being organized over there or something, but maybe if you guys would be willing to accept, they could turn their efforts towards this one instead...

Those chips and title screen are looking very good, Lennon. ...just a couple of things in the last screen; try to make the wood and brick textures a bit simpler in order for them to match the walls and floor level of 'plainness' for a lack of a better word, also, since the walls are brighter at the top so should the columns.

We do? Maybe... but is funny how you hear you entire life not to do it, and you try your damn hardest not to, but at the end you're told to cater to numskulls who do exactly that. Eff them, I say! If someone can't even get past the front page why do you want them here to begin with? So Instead of worrying about "first impressions" you guys should worry about newcomers not having "second thoughts", because with all the drama you manage to pull off I don't know what to think of this site anymore. ;) (half joke)

And I say this as someone who when first found this site thought it was great and payed more attention to the myriad of game profiles and bunch of helpful forum topics rather than whatever was featured at the time (which I can't even remember what it was), so yeah, get over it, fellas.

RPG 20XX Engine

It probably has been asked already, but... Custom death animations for foes?

This would be cool if possible, but I could settle for something else, like not letting the battle automatically end when you kill all foes before all battle events are executed, this way it would be easier to do something like "when enemy 1 Hp reaches 0 play death animation over enemy 1" ...Well, at least I guess so.

The Perfect Debate

I posit that Goku can easily acquire a piece of kryptonite using his Instant Transmission technique, bringing the fight to a quick end.
Not if he doesn't know anyone on Krypton, which I doubt he does... because with Instant transmission he can't just go to places, he first needs to recognize somebody's Ki in order to teleport next to that person. =P
