You never know, this may even be a blessing in disguise... Judging by the screens, your game didn't seem to have much going on in its favor. But now you can use this opportunity to read some tutorials about mapping and general game design. Gee, you can even read the site rules and learn what makes a good blogpost while you're at it. ;D

Game making drive - day 3 (february)

"Dear diary. Rpgmaker crashed on me today-- Doesn't it love me anymore!?? ...Thank god I can always count on Galv. ;) XOXO"

In which we say what we are actually doing

Ugh! Making animations is such a pain in the ass. Specially when they're edits and you have to understand first how that animation works. ...That's why I choose to leave my characters static whenever possible. It saves a lot of time. xP

Anyway, good luck with the project! I hope you guys resume to work on it as soon as possible.

In which we say what we are actually doing

Welp! Doblepost.

More work in progress...

Looking great so far... But you may also want to make the table and benches a lot less, thicker? Is that the word? They're as thick at the walls. I bet you could make three tables out of that single one. xD

It must be hard to do all this. I'm interested in the whole process, could you record it or show it step by step in detail? And more importantly, how long does it take you to complete a room like this?

As for the frequency of your blogs... Game development is a slow process, we all know that. So don't feel pressured to stay on a schedule. And please don't become one of those people that just blog trivial stuff to stay in the spotlight. Blog as long as you're making progress and you're willing to share your insights with us. That's the beauty of it. =)

My hiatus, musings on war and ideas

This is very interesting, it's not common to see a main focus on war and the toll it takes on people in jrpgs or in the Final Fantasy saga at least. There's always some kind of evil empire or invading army and the most you see of it is some soldier npc blocking your way. Then the dark lord in turn rises and whatever conflict there was becomes a footnote in the pages of the game.

Anyway, you seem to be putting a lot of thought into this and I'm starting to resent the fact that is only a fangame... Oh, well~

The Great Purge ~ engine changes

The original art does look great, but I'm wondering... Is Moshi's face supposed to be that round? She looks rather cartoonish. =P

One more thing, will you re-release the current demo once you complete the switch or will you wait until you have more to show?

Either way I'll be looking forward to it...

Final Fantasy Discovery has official artwork!

Nice drawing! ...I like the coloring, but maybe these colors are not optimal. These are rather dull, when the graphics from the game are more vibrant. Even the original art had a whole different direction than this. I'd try to emulate those if it were me.

Also, why the silly watermark? =P

Edit: Psst! ^Rhetorical question...

Finally Complete and Getting back in the Fryingpan

Yay! I finally got to play this. ^^ Everything seems fine this time, there are not bugs or missing files that I could find. The only things that still bother me a little are the atmosphere 'inconsistencies', but oh well, spirit world and all that. ^^;

As for the new ending... It was really good. It was one little scene packed with enough punch to justify beating the game again. You really captured the feeling I was aiming to, but improved it with your far superior writing skills. ^.^

...Can't wait for next year's map madness. =P

super long mega friendship post

Heh; For one I think it's cute to see TFT get a little taste of the heat he gives to other KS projects. But I don't know, Jester kinda has a point. - You could very well say that a small percentage of the money you make will go to help fund other people's projects. This way, the more you get, the more you'll give back. This would reassure people that you're not just reaching for their wallets, but that you care for the community at large... I don't really know how KS works, but at least it would be a nice gesture if you do that.

Just sayin' =P
