Befuddle Quest Review

I hate you, ZPE. Here you go and trash my game (which rightly sux), and yours gets 3 1/2 stars.

The New Earth Review

My review was listed as "Random, Unfunny, and Disappointing"

"A man gets turned into a woman, and goes on a quest filled with random events, to stop a angel/witch who is not trying to take over the world, but rather save it. The oddity of this game defies convention of normal RPGs. Several endings, interesting features, and a cute romance between a catgirl and another woman."

You disappointed yourself. I didn't disappoint you, because you already had in your head, proconceived notions of what my game was going to be like. I never promised a GREAT game, not an EPIC game, and not a deep, grand, or well-put together game. I promised an ODD game. This is a lightweight game, which is more of a trial than anything else. I fixed common glitches, as you said, but to make it anything other than that is to defy the concept of what I intended for this game, and that was to have fun making it.

I am currently making a prequel of this game, called Oracle of Tao, which will have more of a sense of plot and game structure, since unlike this, is less a matter of goofing off, and more a matter of seeing just how much I can do in RPG Making. But there too, I do not promise the height of game programming, it's just me and... well, me. If I don't enjoy what I am doing, I make it fun for me, not for my audience, since really, I don't know most of you.

The New Earth Review

Tree circles are like crop circles. They're awesome.

-Removed reorder system. I had the code there to prohibit nonparty members from joining, but it wasn't clean, and apparently wasn't enough. Yeah, I tried before making it so the menu would reflect changes, but I don't understand script well, and it would have involved making endless combinations of conditions. It's better if I don't use it.

-The unarmed thing I'm working on, trying to make a system where when you enquip everything, it re-equips to Unarmed and Naked. This way, you'll have at least 100 atk, and however much defense, instead of 0.

-Revised some of the elemental attributes, making it easier to kill certain enemies. Changed many immunities to resistances.

-Fixed the "reappearing catgirl" glitch. I don't much like external events hanging around the middle of the screen, so when I realized the only way I could fix it was externally, I eventually broke down and did it. They should die when they're supposed to now.

Please note, this is not 1.5, it will be version 1.75 (the game is complete, it's making it run smoother, thus the 1.75). 1.5 has a bunch of added extras (like extra ending, and a new secret area)..

...Some of it was lazy coding, some was simply a result of spending hours working on something, and finally saying, "forget it, I need to work on something else." Like the Element thing, I had it on 50% for some enemies, but because of armor, resistance, whatever, it still dealt zero.

Yea, you can go naked. Unarmed for some reason kept missing (even against really low defense creatures), so I wanted a way to give basic defense without being overpowering. That's kinda how I code, it weird, but if you examined the code there is definitely work done there.

Nobody taught me most of the programming I learned. I had C++ classes, then worked with programming calculators for awhile, but I couldn't seem There actually are lines and lines of code but not all of it works great (not lazy, sloppy). I think I tried in several cases to make switch after switch of if various party members where in, but I missed a few areas. I seriously dunno WHY I have a party system in the first place. I think I'll need a common event or something to totally erase the reappearing character, cause it teleport resets.

I'll see if I can resolve some of those complaints, as I'm currently in the process of making various updates to the game.
