Beginning to like Coldplay is this wrong

ofc their only good song would have "japan" in the title, brb going to watch clannad and write fanfiction

(this is where i admit i watched all of clannad

and none of the sequel/second season/whatever it is)

this is like when i tell people i like a band called "etro anime" and they're like "HAHA ANIME" and i'm like "nah man" but it's kind of subverted because one of their songs was used for digital devil saga's opening and that's pretty anime

i once had an english teacher who loved digital devil saga. he said he would play it and his kid would watch but his kid was like 6 at the time and i'm not sure that's old enough to be watching helldemon cannibalism and mouth-boobs

to be fair i was probably only 13 or something, but i don't really remember when dds came out and that's kind of a big difference from 6 regardless

references/allusions are fantastic if you can pull them off in a sensible, subtle way

in other words don't subscribe to the "name-dropping" school of referentia and it's fine (e.g. a medieval knight compares his mushroom-induced trip to pineapple express or whatever is probably a bad idea)

there's nothing amateurish about references or allusions so long as you're doing it right; good writing thrives on allusions (and stealing, if you want to go there)

I was beating the crap out of my friends who actually play the game.

all of my friends who mash have never won against me and i'm not particularly good at fightmans so

yeah it's beautiful if you love ugly thick black lines and shit

no one can get into the online play because it's broken as fuck and actually connects maybe 5% of the time :lol:

the controls are pretty simple (light/medium/heavy and a launcher), the hardest part to get into is just how hectic everything is, especially if you're used to a slower game like SF4.

it's got enough cookie-cutter fightman game characters that are pretty serviceable even if you don't want to jump right into the weird dudes like modok or dogwhip or anything.

once they fix the fucked online stuff i'd definitely say it's worth the money. aside from the fact that they made the game really ugly, i don't see what mvc(2) purists are whining about

also just as an aside: they need to add dudley and gambit 8|
