i'd recommend taking pokemaniac's advice, also maybe have the player character actually converse with the NPCs so it sounds more natural. if some dude just started spewing info about some pond without me asking i'd be freaked out.

or just write concise Dragon Warrior-esque stuff if you want. if you don't particularly like writing dialogue, then don't. you can't really be faulted for it as long as you're communicating meaningful info to the player, imo.

i wouldn't say i'm a real misogynist either, because i could potentially like a female if i ever met one that wasn't vapid and uninteresting (and as such i don't hate them just for being female, which i think is what qualifies "true misogyny")

but as a result of only knowing vapid, uninteresting females, i just apply a blanket hatred
