Five Strategies for Better Game-Making
xenogears, the only game to feature a character annoying enough to make me stop playing it outright

But I personally thought stopping Sephiroth's plot to genocide the planet was a lot less compelling than the party's conflict with Shinra earlier in the game.

DOING IT! - WEEK FOURTEEN
They use lenses to magnify light magic which is in turn used to flay the skin of enemies (the player's party). The magic itself doesn't do much damage but it makes its target very vulnerable to subsequent attacks. So it's a good idea to take them out first if you can.
Still debating whether or not to use a lens flare as the animation for their magic.

kitten2021, do you mind if I steal that? :< kinda need something like that for the pub in my game.
I pretty much just use RTP sound effects. I consider them a lot in cutscenes, but I won't go out of my way to find the ~perfect one~ or something.
I've always liked footstep sounds a lot (Xenosaga 3's footstep sounds are so perfect) but I can't find any way to not make them sound terrible in RMVX. I'd like to though, because it does bother me a bit when there's no footstep sounds at all.

Why Plagiarism Matters
comment=39173parody? bub i am 110% seriouscomment=39134Remember that parody is part of the fair use. In fact you can even sell the parody. (though maybe if it wasn't we wouldn't get those godawful "**** Movies")
so here's my game idea: it's called Sovereign Spleens, and there's this kid Sky, and he has to go around and look for his friends Land and Sea, but he discovers this ancient power called the Sovereign Spleens, and he has to save a bunch of Hanna-Barbera characters from otherworldly trouble with his Lockpickblade, and some Wild Arms characters even help him!
what do you guys think? pretty sick huh?
(I decided about halfway through there that I didn't care enough to arrange my thoughts in a way that could make a point and just rolled with it. Though I may as well point out that my stance on the whole thing is that anything short of straight-up, legitimate plagiarism doesn't really bother me at all. Also I forget who said that people need to learn to cite their sources but I agree with them. Also yes please let's eradicate parody from fair use because I don't think it's ever going to give us anything good ever again unfortunately.)
