I'm pretty sure that i'm the only one having this problem but after installing everything and running the game, the Dark Design logo appears and shatters. After that, the screen stays black. I've been waiting for 20 minutes for something to happen, but nothing does.
Its a big bad bug, won't be present in the final version, just press X to skip the movie.

Hey thanks for all your hard work DDG! I've been slowly playing my way through MQR while you have been updating it. I just saw that you updated to 1.7 but it looks like your site @ elementsoftware.co.uk is down (temporarily?)
Will you be hosting a download for MQR here on rpgmaker.net? Also are you still working on MQR or is it to be considered a completed project?
Looking forward to your work on this FFIV VX project! FFIV has always been my favorite FF so I'm super excited (looking great so far BTW)!!
NP. MQ Remastered will be available again when the site is back up, which shouldn't be long. The game is 'complete' but updates will be released when need be. I may even update the graphics once I've finished FFIV but only time will tell.

Stuck in the underworld, have no idea what to do. Apparently I need dust for the stones in the cave, I've looked practically everywhere and can't find it. Any ideas?

*SPOILERS AHEAD, DONT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED YET*
Wow guys, loving the game so far. I'm up to the Cave of Dreams and the dream scenes for each character was a brilliant idea, the deformed faces made me jump LOL!
Im up to the bit where Vera has to escape, but I turned the game of because it got frustrating a bit. I will go back to it though later, once I've done my daily internet chores.
I'm loving the storyline and feel a real connection to the characters, and the game world is huge!!!
Once I've finished this game I'll be sure to give it a good review. Well done 10/10!
BTW my levels are
Vahn - 21
Oalson- 21
Vera - 20
Ami - 19
(They are usually the party I have most, seems more effective, but I do use the other guys when I need to) PS the warp to the temple item was a brilliant idea ;P
Quick edit- I'd like to be on the development team if you see a need for me, let me know if there's ANYTHING i can be involved with in some way ;) :) :)

It's ok, fixed it now. Seems Microsoft bundles a rubbish version of the same font RPG Maker uses, and I replaced it with the official 2k fonts into my windows font folder. Now looks brilliant :P

author=sabin1981author=JudeWhile I agree that remaking games isn't really going to do much for creative expression, I have to disagree on the idea that the developer doesn't grow or learn from it. IMHO DDG's remake of Mystic Quest was amazing and showed a tantalising glimpse into how to modernise a classic game without stripping away the essence of it. This one, being far more complex in practically every single way, is a test of programming, mapping and scripting experience and growth of the developer.
This probably isn't a good investment of your time. It is purely a timesink, with little opportunity for creative expression or growth.
So while it's easier and, you could argue, less creative by remaking an existing game - it's also a test of skill and desire as you have a so much more to live up to.
