A Tale of Three Dragons (RPG Maker movie)

I used Camtasia Studio 6 to record this and Power Director 9 to add subtitles and music.

I guess it was a part of writer's plan to make it look like DBZ.

A Tale of Three Dragons (RPG Maker movie)

Yeah, it's similar to Acetonic Mushrooms series, but this time there are some differences. It was recorded as a video file and has movie-like subtitles. Also the story was written by my friend, and it's not a comedy anymore.

A Tale of Three Dragons

A movie made with RPG Maker 2003 and recorded as a video file.

Genre: Action
Length: 36 min 41 s

Director and producer: eNSO
Writer: Ozzy a.k.a. Mawaru

Story

Once upon a time chaos spread across the land. Countless landlords emerged and fought each other. Then the gods chose three warlords who were destined to unite the land. They managed to conquer their enemies, however they did not want to cooperate. The Great War of Three Counties broke loose.

Thousands of years have passed since that day and yet again history repeats itself. The present story revolves around three martial arts schools - Karate, Kung Fu and Kenjutsu. They blindly fight each other and do not even notice that some new, external force is ready to take advantage of this situation.

If someone took something from your game

Yeah, I know how it feels. As you might know, I'm the creator of Battle City remake for RM2k. The first version of this game was short and made for one particular contest. About a month after publishing it I recieved an email with a request to use my game's engine. Well, why not, I thought clicking the link. What I saw was pretty shocking. The only thing that guy bothered to change was a menu. Not counting minor changes in my chipsets. Everything else was left the same. He even published the game as its own crediting me only as the maker of game's engine. That's why I packed the Gold Edition into one exe file and prevented it from further plagiarism.

I don't mind when people use my chipset or charset edits but this was just too much.

Tired of importing?

And that's what you should NEVER do. It's way better to copy/paste all needed files straight into your project's directory. At least the will be no problems with sharing your game with others.

Damn, SD, that really looks badass. I wish I knew how to do something similar in my own game...

Oh, and here's my item menu:

RPGS... you've beaten

eNSO, you didn't play through FF Legends or Riveria? I figured those sorts of games are what inspired Burning Grail's engine.
Ah, crap, I forgot to mention Riviera. I completed this game two times and it really had a great impact on TBG. I'm not sure why you mentioned FF Legends though. I remember trying those on my GB emulator but didn't get too far.

What's that gauge in the top-left? Health?
Yeah, that's a health gauge and it's so small because health points are not the crucial thing in my game.

Please note, you are required by law to have at least one scene where zombie dogs jump at you through a window.
lol, maybe not a zombie dog but someone (or something) will definitely jump through a window.
